Well hopefully it's not physical and they're just trying anything they can to get him right. Maybe the extra time off during the AS break can help him take a step back and reassess. But WTF happened with him? It's an enigma the way Harvey has lost his swagger. Unless it's something physical we don't know about. If he doesn't turn it around I'll look at him as the 5th starter. It could be worse
Pretty shocked with the Harvey news today. Definitely wasn't expecting anything this serious. Just doesn't make sense how a player can have his usually stuff for a good part of the game but this is the reason he falls apart? The little I know about the injury would make it seem like this is the type of thing you wouldn't even be able to throw warmup pitches with.
I'll also be there sunday, I don't think I've ever showed up in time to actually get one of the promotions they give out. Just win for me.
Oh shit. I typed Sunday by accident. I'm actually going to the night game on Saturday for the Fedora. I'm hoping the weather holds up and I can get a nice tailgate in before the game starts. On a side note about tonights game and a break from all the Harvey talk.. How come Wilmer isn't in the line up? He's batting 290 since taking over 3B fulltime and his hot as hell right now...
SMH regarding Harvey. Hope he opts for the shot and he can salvage the season. Wheeler prolly back sometime in August and should help a little.... Oh well
I don't think I can ever forgive Alderson for letting Murphy go. We would be in first place right now. But anyway, this is a great baseball game, hopefully we can hold on.
Nice try, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. He was a true Met through and through, and now hes hitting .350 Typical Mets bullshit.
HAHA! You don't miss a guy who is leading the league in hitting? .350 average and 15 HR's, but our offense is so great we don't need that. LOL, you are not convincing. And yes I am a Mets fan, so I am glad we won tonight. I hope Murphy never gets another hit again, but let's be real.
Dude I don't. For real. And was serious about his play in the field. That cost them and that's what he is. He's hitting in front of Ramos and Harper. They're the best players on the Nats. He hit in front of Ces last year, and booted the ball against the Royals. Seriously man, fuck him. If we weren't paying Wright the move was to sign him for 3rd. Wasn't gonna happen tho. The Coupons had to have a selling point when they re-upped Wright '11. If they had cut Wright loose in 2011 there would have been a fan Mutiny. Not me, I wanted them to trade Wright. It is what it is. We got stuck with Wright. But the shit I heard when I said to trade him...man. Mets fans got what they asked for.
You bring up some good points. He is still a liability in the field, but my biggest thing is that as you mentioned, we went with Wright when it was obvious he would never make it through the whole season, or even half of one. I just feel like we need all hands on deck and would not have minded them forking out the cash to resign Murphy. We still need another bat.
I agree. Losing Conforto and Duda shortened the lineup. Everything aside I just hope Sandy can land a bat at some point. I'll be disappointed if we don't. At least d'Arnaud's hitting, Reyes is in, and Nimmo looks okay. We need another bat no doubt. On the other hand this thing with Harvey is not good. This is a big hit
