Honestly, if the guy was legally packing, then he should expect to get shot by the cops what with how the constitutional scholars on TGG have explained the purpose of the the 2nd amendment is to ensure the citizenry has the capability to meet oppressive force in kind.
Well all we can go by right now is what we hear and see. I see a dead a man sitting in a car with empty hands. Did he drop the gun after being shot? I suppose it's possible, very doubtful as we probably would have heard about it by now and judging by the governors press conference it doesn't sound like that is the case. Without all the facts at this time it just seems to only take common sense to come to the conclusion that the officer is at best trigger happy and incompetent.
The guy that was killed was the driver, not the passenger if the video was uploaded in a mirrored version as it appears it was. According to the gf he told the cop he was licensed to carry and then reached for his ID. You can hear the cop yell "I told him not to reach for it!" bang.
Nothing like a good ad hominem to try to distract from the truth. You may want to stop talking about things that you simply don't want to accept so you can pretend you care about the victimization of black men by the advocates pretending to care about them. Of course, you're probably part of the problem so you have a vested interest in the act.
Remember when Michael Brown was pleading "hands up, don't shoot!" and not punching the cop in the face through the open window?
Just heard from the girlfriend in an interview. The driver fucked up. Officer- Drivers license and insurance? Driver (as he is reaching)- yes sir, I have a weapon and a permit. Officer shoots. Of course this is paraphrasing. Looks like I called it with scenario 1. It is very sad but when you carry you need to keep your hands on the wheel and obey instructions. You do not nonchalantly act as if nothing is wrong.
Actually JB, that is my main gripe with BLM. They need to show up every time there's violence perpetrated against innocent (until proven guilty or not) Black men by either LEO's or other Blacks. Although there's plenty outcry from the community against BonB violence, BLM only concentrates when LEO's kill Black men and the optics on that looks like a vendetta whether that's true or not. Black lives have to matter all the time, not just when LEO's take them.
I see a great business opportunity here.... Dash cams for civilians! I think it would be prudent that in every encounter with an LEO, record it with anything you can.. cellphone, go pro, dashcam.. anything and make sure you get the audio too. That way should an "accident" happen, they'll be more than one version of the story as surviving these encounters is sketchy depending on who the LEO is.
What the fuck would you know about this? Nice tempered and responsible post there bucko. You must be one of the worst kneejerk posters on here. How you became admin is beyond me. Must be why you thought he wasn't the driver. If you were half an administrator you would have been monitoring this thread and realized that the video was mirrored as other members established.
Oh well. I really couldn't give a shit what your thoughts are grease. You don't like me? you're free to leave. Let me tell you this though. I'm not going anywhere and if you think this board can't get along without your input, think again..
