Wilkerson is actually a good player though so at least he's somewhat worth the headache and distraction. A guy that never had a good year until last year not so much.
The Jets have zero intentions in signing Mo to a long term contract unless Sheldon does not excel this year. He's a Tackle looking for End money. If they wanted him, it would have been done a year ago. They are saving there money for Sheldon if he gets his shit together because I think in the end he could be better then Mo. Nothing against MO but you can't give MO and Sheldon big contracts along with paying Revis.
So lets recap we go 10-6 playing a very easy schedule and our very mediocre QB in his 30's has a career year and all of a sudden he wants big money when we only really want him for one more year. And we have to renegotiate contracts and or cut players to fit him in our salary cap when we all know with schedule and our short comings we are a year away from being a contender.
He can't play. We already know. Football is not just about wins and losses. 2015's (10-6) record with Fitz felt a million times more fun and enjoyable than 2013's (8-8) record with Geno despite just 2 more wins. Fitz might not win the Super Bowl, but it is not impossible. If Geno is QB, I would have 0 hope of even competing. It's definitely possible Geno can lead the Jets to (7-9) and Fitz can only get them to (9-7) but that is a huge difference for me and worth re-signing Fitz.

I was thinking the same thing obviously. It was just an honest mistake, I was at work. Did not spell his name wrong on purpose. Not a big deal but posters had to waste 2 pages raging on me. I think the issue here is people are associating Geno with Fitz. Fitz re-signing or not doesn't make Geno a better player. Fitz aside, Geno is still a shitty football player. So my real question is what's the actual plan if Fitz doesn't come back?
Start Geno and see what happens that's the answer. As a fan I am willing to see him with these weapons and coaching staff. Can't have Hackenberg or Petty out there as they aren't ready. I have already come to terms with this.
