    Ronaldo literally doing his part to keep Portugal alive. Hungary had the lead 3 times...If Portugal loses they are eliminated and if they draw they get England in round of 16

    UNREAL, the last 3 minutes of Hungary vs Portugal was just lame ass back and forth safe passing from Hungary and Portugal encouraged it so they both would have advanced (Iceland was tied in the 90+3 minute with Austria)

    BUT............Iceland right at the death on the final run scored in the 94th minute to win their first major tournament win. Wow, that means it pushes Portugal to 3rd and England avoids Portugal.

    I don't think outside of Ronaldo Portugal is very good. But Spain losing was a surprise.

    the two halves are very lopsided

    one half is loaded with top sides

    the other has no top contenders

    pitches continue to be an issue, with players repeatedly slipping

    Some disappointments after the group stage:

    Portugal failing to win, despite being in a weak group.
    England winning only once.
    Sweden failing to win and finishing last in the group.



    The whole idea of advancing third place teams. Northern Ireland lost twice and got through anyway, joining Ireland as a third place finisher that got to advance.


    Finally, Russian supporters.

    Portugal outplayed by Croatia

    Portugal finally managed a goal at the end of extra time

    they didn't deserve a win

    four matches and zero wins in regulation and yet they're moving on

    Italy vs Spain and England vs Iceland.

    The Quarter-Final round starts Thursday.
