Authorities believe the suspects were in possession of the guns as part of criminal activity, likely heroin related. Additionally, there was a large amount of ammunition and ballistic vests.

The arrests do not have a connection to any terrorism, but the Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating out of an abundance of caution. Police say all suspects are from Pennsylvania, where some of what was found may be legal to possess.

I'm gonna guess these guns were illegally obtained...

I don't understand what NYC or the mayor has anything to do with this if these clowns are from PA...

Drugs. All of them. Tax them at a rate that doesn't create a black market and use some of that income, which would be huge (and beautiful), to treat addiction.

It would take the money out of the hands of violent criminal organizations, significantly reduce the number of Americans in jail which would save a tremendous amount of tax dollars as well as stop ripping apart American families.

Heroin is bad, but the war on drugs is worse.

I agree with you on the loosening on war on drugs myself but I would temper expectations as it pertains to the success legalization would have on drug cartels. A hundreds of billions of dollars industry isn't going to go away just because the government makes it legal and these cartels aren't going to go legit for fun. Long term maybe you have a point but even if we legalized every drug tommorrow we'd still have powerful drug organizations for a long time because they are the leading established producer and distributor.

But this is America...if there is a chance to make a legal profit AND with demand very high, the domestic supplies will be coming online ASAP.

You should be celebrating, bad guys with guns arrested, no one injured or killed. Well done nypd, now lets hope they get a heavy sentence if found guilty.
I don't see what there is to be outraged about here

Why do they say it's not terror related? Cause they're white? Racists.

Legalize all drugs and addition skyrockets. As does disease. The major reason most people stay away from drugs is them being not that easily attainable. When a surburban white kid knows that the only way he can get coke or heroin in his area is going into the projects , it will make him think twice about it. Yeah if someone wants them that badly they will get them no matter what , but if you can pick up heroin at the local corner store, tons of people are going to become addicted that otherwise wouldn't.

Few things could make this country worse than what it is today. Legalizing drugs , hard drugs specifically , is one of them.

Definitely not a suspicious looking vehicle...

Edit: Beat me to it. Legal drugs already exist. They're called pharmaceuticals. The government gets plenty of tax from them, and destroys thousands of lives "under the professional advice of a Healthcare advisor." Legalizing drugs would be suicide for a first world country and it's population.
