Come on guys... 83 is a pretty good one! lots of options. I'll go with Jo-Jo Townsell just to get us started. Drafted in the 3rd round in 1983 out of UCLA he decided to go to the USFL for a bit but played here as a backup WR and return man from 1985-1990. A little guy, he was a pretty good returner.
Was waiting for Matt--didn't want to step on his toes because this is one of his BEST days! I'll start the Ode to George Sauer. _
A couple of great articles about Sauer. Loved him as a kid but I hardly knew of him. Sounds like a tortured soul. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/24/s...eces-of-an-untold-story-about-a-jet.html?_r=0 http://infinitejets.blogspot.com/2013/05/ny-jets-83-george-sauer-rip.html http://infinitejets.blogspot.com/2013/08/george-sauers-secret.html _
Mickey deserved more pictures. A great player for us, one nasty SOB from Penn State. Along with Pete Lammons probably the best TE's we ever had.
