So what exactly is your solution? The gun isn't the problem...It's people and their mental health. This moron was a legal law abiding citizen gun owner for a long time and a terrorist the next... We have tons of legal gun owners who aren't going to go on rampages. They might have scary political views but they aren't going on killing sprees.

And if you suspect somebody is going to buy an AR and go all terrorist on a crowd but you can't prove it? The US has 800,000+ people on the terror watch list. Either we hire about 2.5M agents to keep an eye on those people 24/7 or we need a way to keep them from legally buying an AR and killing a bunch of people. The 2.5M agents aren't for anything other than keeping an eye on the 800,000+ 24/7. I'd rather just say those 800,000+ people can't buy automatic weapons, but that's just me.
