I am sick of the holdout too, but you pay Fitz 12x the price of a Geno cause of the intangibles RF brings: mega intelligence poise confidence chemistry leadership ability maturity attitude work ethic w/receivers relationship with Galey and the list goes on

Forget Geno, how does Fitzs personality stack up against SRichardson or Mevis ? who are also paid very well ??It's called being a leader and not entirely self centered

Isn't what he is doing now considered entirely self centered?

It doesn't take Tom Brady to be the best QB on this team. If he walks in the door the first week of training camp he's easily the best QB in the room unless Geno has made tremendous improvement.

Just stop with the mega intelligence nonsense. Not once has Fitz brought that mega intelligence to the field of play. It takes more than a Harvard education to be a smart QB.

The business side of football and the performance side cannot be interlinked--they have to be separated.

Football players do not give 2 shits about anything more than money. Once the money is settled, it's ALL about the team lol.

By the same token, isn't what Mo doing self centered? Every hold out ever, and I think there have been a few in the anals of the NFL, has been self centered and contrary to the "team" objective.

Oh i get it, but the person i quoted was comparing revis to fitz based on revis' rep. Just needed to point out his flaw in his comparison

Good post and analysis...You gotta think he's also improved just on his own by natural maturation. You add a much better team and offensive coaches on his side and it will be ok and could possibly be better than that

The schedule will be tough for whoever the QB is but just about everything else is in place for them to succeed

It takes mega intelligence to get into Harvard and that just didn't go away for Fitz

Compared to Geno and other players Fitz is more intelligent and I'll stand by that statement

Did anyone bother to read what else he brings to the table besides IQ??

I'll also stand by the Revis comparison as I personally believe Fitz shows more character and leadership than Rvis and Richardson especially off the field

mega intellegence? how intellegent is throwing a post over the middle when your team is already in go ahead field goal range in a win r go home scenario? not very IMO.

fitz brings nothing but a gaurantee we win 7 or 8 games and still dont figure out what we have at QB long term.

fitz is not a good player, our ceiling with him isnt high, and he is too old to be a long term solution

he needs to take what we offer or GTFO

getting into harvard is great, but you dont see many harvard, princeton, or yale QBs running around with superbowl rings.

intellegence is great, it would be awesome if fitz showed it on the field more

I think in fairness that was a pass he completed half a dozen times to Decker during the year. He apparently didn't see the defender or he just tried to squeeze it in there. He completes it and the game is basically over.

But it was a bad pass no doubt although I don't think it can totally erase what he did the prior 5 weeks. Not having either of his top 2 RBs and the defense playing like shit and the fucking punter?

    But yeah awful awful pass.
