Unless im wrong the 5 ( Stradivari ) hole won last year,,,,would still love to throw someone out, right now I like 5 horses in no particular order Exaggerator , Cherry Wine ,Sudden breaking news , Stradivari ,and Lani,,,,,,,,that's what I am looking at ,,logic says throw Lani out and go chalkie but right now I kinda feel about Lani they way I did about Cherry Wine going into the last race ,all thoughts and insight appreciated lol .I needed to edit this as I was on Brodie's Cause for the Derby and he did close fast so I might rethink my top 4 ? Mr Harris you somewhat influenced me for the other race ,what's your thinking. Ps I think Destin is a good horse but not as good as the others but who knows with this marathon ?
Weird story in one of the Friday races at Belmont https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/jun/09/private-zone-banned-trainer-brian-lynch-marijuana Private Zone, one of the leading dirt sprinters in the United States, has added a bizarre and unfortunate footnote to his career after he was banned from racing in New York on Friday because his trainer failed a drugs test. Brian Lynch, who has trained Private Zone for only a few months after taking over the gelding’s preparation in November 2015, is believed to have tested positive for marijuana and has surrendered his trainer’s licence to the New York State Gaming Commission. As a result, he cannot be listed as a trainer on a race day, and Private Zone has been scratched from the Grade Two True North Stakes at Belmont Park, a $250,000 event for which he was expected to start favourite. The NYSGC did not confirm Lynch’s suspension was the result of a failed test, but Rene Douglas, whose Good Friends Stable owns Private Zone, told the Daily Racing Form the trainer had been selected from workers on the track’s backstretch for a random drugs test and had tested positive for marijuana.
Wow ,pretty strict rules but if these guys know they can be suspended for this they are nuts for smoking in the first place. I understand if the animals or even the jockeys are on something but the trainer ? That is weird . I wonder if it was random or someone had it in for him ?
ok, track may be a little wet, storm front that was modeled to show up late saturday is moving faster. rain could start around 4pm saturday.
Stay on it FJF,,,,,,local guys say scattered strong storms,, try and pin it down as best you can by Saturday AM as $ome of u$ are wagering on thi$ and a wet track change$ thing$ for my/ our thinking ,,lol
Sitting tight for now, trying to get a bead on the weather. But as you and I have discussed before, I love Suddenbreakingnews at this distance.
Tough call. Models showing rain around 4 to around 8 but its not defined so its going to be scattered storms. Belmont could get rain and nyc could be dry. I don't think it will be the sloppiest track ever. I would plan on some moisture though.
Stay on this Fjf,,maybe I should now refer to you as F Jay F ? This might happen ,I knd of like that ,lol
I am not as confident now as I was for the last 2 races, maybe that's a good thing lol,,,I might hedge my bets and go 2 ways with this,
Okay here's what I am doing , I am sticking with these 5 horses 3 cherry wine 4 sudden breaking news 5 Stradivari 10 lani 11 exaggerator Me ,I'm betting a few exacta boxes a few triple boxes, and a few superfects, straight and boxed My two $1 superfecta boxes cost $24 each,,,,3-4-5-11 and 3-4-10-11 My tri boxes are 3-4-10,,,,,,,3-4-11,,,,3-10-11 co$t for me $60 My two $10 exacta boxes are 4-11,,,,and 3-10,,,,,cost of these $20 apiece or $40 Have some other things out there but Figured this was long enough,,lol Good luck all
Here are my plays: $2 tri 4,11/3,4,5,11,13/3,4,5,11,13 - cost $48 $1 super 4,11/3,4,5,11,13/3,4,5,11,13/3,4,5,11,13 - cost $48 $100 show 4 Good luck to all!!!
I like the picks. I think if its gonna be muddy again, Im going heavy on Exaggerator & cherry wine as they are the best on that type of track. I do like Suddenbreakingnews in the 4 spot too. Good luck brotha.
I'm not sure how I feel about this ,,,,,I wanted a wet track last time to possibly neutralize and advantage Nyquist might of had . I guess I am leaning towards liking it . Harris my guess is depends on just how hard it rains if at all ,,,,,let us know F Jay F . Ps I had to edit this,,the long shot I would throw money on is Lani.
ok, watching radar, expect a wet but not sloppy track. storm pushing through around 4-5pm otherwise dry. don't play horses much but think i am going to box 3,4,11 and put something on 4 to show
Do you expect the sun to poke back out after the storm rolls through? If racing gets suspended and the Stakes post time gets pushed back, it could give the track time to dry out with a little help from the sun.
