Didnt even look like it was raining around gametime..guess they figured the crowd wasnt gonna be too big cause of the Pens playing at the same time. Shady.
It'll be a good day for two. Straight up doubleheader@4:05 w/Matz and deGrom... Bummed about Lagares. If we lose him that's a tough hit...
Well, that sucked. Probs to Neise anyway At least Wilmer looks like he's hitting the ball hard now.... Man, that Lagares injury is the one that killed the roster depth...for now
This team sucks. Everybody ignored what I posted a few days ago but it rings absolutely true. We'll be lucky to even sniff the postseason let alone win a WS. DISGUSTED AGAIN.
This team needs a damn shakeup..similar to what happened last July pre-Cedpedes deal. Go pick up some aging vets and bring them in here to compete. Call up some guys from AAA. Beyond tired of hits only when no one is on base and then not being able to get them in , groundouts when fly balls are needed, fly outs with 2 outs and runners on. Ever since the Bumgarner game this entire lineup has been a massive flop.
He has been dreadful this year. He hasn't hit at all so I guess he will fit right in. I guess cross your fingers and hope a change of scenery kick starts him.
You could almost see the Johnson trade coming with Atlanta's season already over. There's a couple of nice older players on Cincinnati, and even San Diego, that might become available sooner than later if those teams continue to fade quickly. With d'A, Duda, Wright, and now Lagares injured, and Ces banged up, the pressure is on.
2-0 in the 1st an it feels like the game is over. Awful. Im sure one year we'll win a game in Pittsburgh. 2 wins there since 2013.
Warning both benches over that, really? When I think these umpires can't get anymore ridiculous they prove me wrong.
He doesn't mKe it easy whatsoever. Felt good to win but way way way too many guys left on again. 2nd and 3rd no outs and we can't even get one in? That's a joke.
Finally a W in Pitt. Hopefully we beat up on the Brewers this weekend and get back on track. Go take 3 of 4 there.
I feel like this is the story of the season. The Mets hit, just not enough. They can never get a rally going. I'd bet they are near the top of the league in stranded runner percentage. It's a shame, because with the pitching they have, they should dominate teams but they struggle to score more than 2 runs a night. I feel like they need to trade for another big bat, although with all the injuries it's difficult to say for sure.
That's fair. If it wasn't for the Coupons I'd say go pry Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips off the Reds or Matt Kemp off San Diego and sort out the roster afterwards
