Old article that was actually used as a reference in that Pulitzer prize-winning article champ posted earlier in the week. Well done champ
Watching what a potential bust Hack could be just does wonders for my day Champ lol Mac and the Scouting Dept scoped him out and targeted him for Round 2 ..wow Lets give the kid a chance ...I mean Mac knows scouting right?
It sucks living right outside Denver, because every day on my drive in to work I have to hear the radio guys talk about how Paxton Lynch is big and mobile and accurate and looking good in OTAs, and how the Broncos are on the verge of signing their stud defensive player to a long term contract. Then I have to come on here and read about how Hack can't complete a pass against air and that talks with Mo have gone nowhere.
And we do we presume the TE ran the correct route? Isolated clips tells us nothing. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
yep ...Lynch scored too low on the Wonderlic...which I do and don't see as an absolute predictor Lynch was there and I liked him...but no...sign a defensive player...oh well Lee better be that BPA
Sanchez? The sports guys around here want to like him. They think he works hard, they think he's professional, they think he's a good leader, but then they'll also throw in something like, "but, he threw another terrible interception in practice today." That's usually when they transition over to talking about some amazing deep ball that Lynch threw in practice, or how athletic Lynch looks for a guy who's 6' 7", and how they think Lynch will replace Sanchez as starter after the bye week. I've literally heard nothing but positive reviews and excitement about Lynch. Who knows how it will pan out, but if we missed out on a good one I'm never going to hear the end of it out here in Broncos country.
Lynch will look good in OTAs because he's a much better thrower of the football than Hack. Hack is better at running an offense and reading defenses, but those traits aren't as useful for doing well in OTAs.
But the most important talent a QB needs to be blessed with is throwing the football accurately. Reading defenses and running an offense is a skill that can be learned. Throwing a football accurately is more of a natural talent. Like you can't teach tall, you really can't teach accuracy. We can only hope he can improve it or somehow mask it. _
