I wanted Joel Ward a ton. He is very clutch and tough to deal with.

Also these playoffs may be the lowest watched since Canes/Oilers.

did that puck in the end slide into the empty net? this close to being 4-1

clock expired as it was getting there

no points for Crosby, Kunitz Hornqvist, or Bonino, but the Penguins win

Welp, at first I was gonna say the Sharks choked like usual, but gotta give Pittsburgh credit. They haven't even trailed a game yet in this series.

I expect Pit to win it at home in either game 5 or 7.

That's why coaching is just as important, sometimes teams have the players, but their coach Johnson was obviously not using these guys the right way.

They have outplayed everyone since they made the coaching change and defensively have been outstanding.

The Sharks have to play at least one good game this series, don't they?

I feel they should break up the top line, drop Pavelski or Thornton to second line, give themselves some flexibility.

The Sharks also went out of their way to be physical, to the point of getting themselves out of position, just very undisciplined.

Mike Sullivan gave into temptation a couple of games and kept Cindy and Evgeny together, but that disrupted the rest of the lines so he went back to keeping them separate and it's made the team more dangerous.

Game 5 for sure. I'm thinking it will be a blowout too. I hope so. I have seen enough of this Pens team to last me a life time.

the first period, the Sharks were extremely sloppy

    overpursuing and leaving big openings

Agreed. Pitt has 3 scoring lines just because Crosby and Malkin are split up...I don't like them but I respect them and their playmaking alone spreads out the scoring potential. The Sharks only really have that top line that hasn't been getting it done, especially without Hertl. And the Sharks haven't been able to get the PP chances. Pitt could really get it done in 5. Most people can't even name 2 other defensemen after Letang. I'm thinking Matt Murray gets the Conn Smythe.

it's really strange how Pittsburgh has a chance to win the SC with only one established defenseman.

As a Caps fan who finally built a team capable of winning the Cup, "strange" is not the word I would use. :)
