playoff team in the East, maybe. Not out West.

I do think you could remove Curry and GS would be better than most of the East.

The problem was that everyone was saying to LeBron, why would we team up with you in Cleveland when we can all go to Miami, make equal the amount of money we would've with no income tax and we're fuggin millionaires ruling South Beach. Not to mention a good basketball mind/GM, and a franchise that at least shown some resemblance of building a winner within the past 10 years, rather than Cleveland which has been nonexistent outside of LeBron since what 92'?

It was an attractive situation for any 20 something year old. I agree though. He basically forfeited any chance of ever being the GOAT (and even if he really is) by making that decision.

I wonder who would've came if he stayed another 2 years. Inevitably someone would've came. Marc Gasol in 2011? Deron Williams in 2012? Dwight or CP3 in 2013?

Someone would've caved to the shit city.

They would've gotten second rate FAs because its Cleveland. A lot has been said about the big 3 in Miami but its an attractive organization for FAs. Ray Allen was a major reason why they beat the Spurs in that great 2013 finals. A player like Ray Allen doesn't go to Cleveland. In fact he literally could've gone to Cleveland the last 2 years and he opted for retirement instead. LeBron James in Miami = The best player in the league in the best destination for FAs in a basketball-crazy organization. Could've beaten out MJ for most titles if he stayed.

I disagree vehemetely with JetBlue about it always being Wade's team. It was LeBron's team when he signed there. I don't really have a problem with him pairing up with other guys because you can't do it alone.

The only thing I'll say negative about him is that he needs to back the Fuck off with trying to coach and manage teams and stick to playing basketball. But that is yet another reason why Miami was a much better spot for him because they have guys with enough clout in the league to not let him coach or manage the team. Cleveland, being Cleveland whores themselves out to whatever he wants. That's why they do stupid shit like trading away Wiggins, firing a coach midseason, replacing him with a guy barely retired as a player. You aren't going to win that way. Even the very best need tough love.

    Yep, what I'm saying.

I guess for him to agree to return to Cleveland, they had to let him run the franchise, and he has run the franchise ever since he came back. All the idiotic decisions are on him, and dumping Blatt midseason to name Lue coach (who has zero qualifications for the job and no experience) and trading Wiggins+Bennett for Love are at the top of the list. Cleveland gave up two guys who were drafted first overall recently. Bennett didn't pan out, but at the time that was a mind boggling trade. It's still pretty horrible, because no one would take Love over Wiggins.

Cleveland is still good enough to coast to the Finals because the East is a joke, but some of the idiocy might finally haunt them here.

    Some numbers:

Cleveland had the fourth best point differential in the NBA despite getting to play most of their games against the weak East. Cleveland's won/loss record barely put them ahead of Toronto, OKC, and the Clippers.

GS wins one game over Cleveland, and I'm reading here how GS is awesome, Cleveland is a pretender, and LeBron and the Cavs organization are clueless. It's one game people.

After that first game, if the refs let them play, I'm thinking sweep.

Probably won't let them play, though.

If Curry and Thompson only need 25 combined points to beat the Cavs...I'm thinking sweep too

It has gotta kill Mark Jackson to call all of these games.

Is it just me or have the officials been awful? How is Harrison Barnes not called for an over-the-back when he nearly knocked out Kevin Love's pussy ass? LeBron gets fouled nearly every single time he goes to the hoop and that ticky-tac foul they called on him vs. Iguodala early on in the game?

If the Cavs lose tonight they're going to give them every call in Cleveland, because the NBA is dying for this to go 7 games for the TV ratings.

Cleveland starts out great with ball movement, pick and rolls. They see the Warriors start to go on a run, hit some 3's and the hero-ball comes out with the isolation. Kevin Love is too slow to post someone up, as the defense rolls to him way too easily.

Yup. It was that hit on the back of Love's head and Van Gundy's statement and that prompted my post. :)

Loved that about Van Gundy, he pulls no punches, when he coached also...and he can coach

Maybe he can. But he might be slightly overrated as a coach. .500 winning percentage in the playoffs and one finals appearance in 11 years. He's a hell of an analyst and basketball mind though, that much is clear.

Kevin Love going back to the locker room is actually probably going to be good for this team. Give Channing Frye some run there, maybe he can show some actual athleticism. Fugg it, keep running old man Jefferson into the paint too.

Didn't bother to watch. It became clear before the game GS would win.

In one sense I feel bad for LeBron, yet it's tough when he played GM and constructed this mess. They're so clearly over matched. The Warriors play Spurs basketball with better shooters, and they haven't even needed them.

I think the Warriors have been sick and tired of hearing for a year how yeah they won but poor Lebron dragged the series to six games last year with a d-league team and 'JUST WAIT TILL HE PLAYS THEM NOW WITH EVERYONE!'...uh yeah, how's that narrative looking?

How about after two? The fourth best team in the West took Golden State to the limit yet the best team in the East looks like stooges.

This is over in 5 tops, Golden State is on a mission to destroy the Cavs.

Its 2 games guys. For Cleveland it was 2 games on the road. series ain't over.

GS looks like the better team but that can change quickly. I think its going to come down to game 5 myself. I could see it going back to GS tied 2-2 and the winner of game 5 (probably GS but anything can happen) will end up winning the series.

Let me see if I have the NBA playoffs series cycle down yet.

The Warriors have won 2 blowout games so the next 3 days will be spent with analysts declaring the series to be over.

Then the Cavs win 2 blowout games at home and everyone talks about how they were wrong and how great the end of the series is gonna be.

Then the Warriors win games 5 and 6.

I'd guess Cleveland takes 1 at home.

Pretty sure the Thunder would've beaten any team from the East.
