It's because that countdown uses both days and hours/minutes, you can't just take the number of days that's in front. If you do that, you're counting down to 12:01 AM on the Wednesday before the game, because your clock will read "0 days 23 hours 59 minutes" yet there's still another day until the game. But I'm just being an overly technical stick on the Internet, it doesn't really matter if we end a day early; carry on.
