Nah, once training camp begins and we have constant updates the conversation will be better. Right now we get 1 practice a week to talk about. Things are going to drift to other subjects in theses cases.

I will agree that last year's experience might actually help him going forward. At this point in his career Smith has nothing to lose anymore. When you are known nationally as the guy who lost his job because a teammate broke your jaw over petty cash, there really isn't much left that can rattle you. He has hit rock bottom. For supposedly a kid who struggled with criticism and smarts to hit rock bottom like that could turn him around. He had a year off to learn and mature. At this point the only thing left for him to do is ignore all the BS and bust his butt on the football field if he wants his spot. Truthfully he's never been in that position ever before. Some guys could seize this opportunity to mature and thrive. Idk if Geno Smith is that guy but its all there for him. No where to go but up. I'll agree from time to time he did show flashes of nice ability before

Good stuff. Connor was raw and not ready to take on the Jets beat, but sitting and developing on TGG turned him into one of the best beat guys we've got. Take notes, Hackenberg.
