Familia pulled a Harvey on Friday not meeting the media, now he's pitching like him too. Straight garbage.

Harvey was perfect through 4 and 1/3. Let' see what happens. Wow what a play by Flores to end the inning

Finally some great pitching by Harvey. The crowd was all about him today it felt like last season again. And its clear Familia needs to be in a save situation to be affective. Hopefully TC realizes that now.

Would be nice to see some more offense but Quintana is tough. Go out there tomorrow the next two days and handle the 4 and 5 of the Chi-Sox's rotation and I'll be happy.

Wright also might hit the DL. Herrera needs the call up. So tired of Campbell and Kelly should not be getting regular starts.

Flores needs to play mostly everyday either at 1st or 3rd and Herrera can play 3rd or even 2nd on days when Loney isnt playing.

Rivera is the man behind the plate. He brings gamesmanship, savvy, and experience, a big plus for the staff.

If Wright goes on the DL Campbell might dodge a bullet even if they decided to keep Kelly over him when Loney's added, which I hope was the case.

I'm really hoping that Sandy fortifies the bench sooner than later if the young guys aren't ready. I'm all for him keeping the young guys down there for seasoning, but it sure would help to get better there. Easier said than done to get the right guy, but Campbell needs to go and Kelly doesn't seem to be any kind of long term answer.

A right handed bat off the bench is needed in the worst way. Sandy should just give up a low level prospect for someone like Jeff Francoeur. And depending on how long Wright will be out for , a more drastic move should be looked into. Danny Valencia and Trevor Plouffe are two third basemen that probably could be had for not a ton and are also versatile enough to move away from 3B when Wright plays.

Sandy shouldn't wait for the deadline when guys like this will be worth more to acquire.

    I agree.

I do have confidence in him getting things done at the trade line. The later it gets the more things open up and the more options there are.

But, if our young guys aren't ready Sandy should try and get something done soon. The bar has been raised since last year at this time and the bench has to be better. The fukn Coupons have to be on board with that. There's no excuse for them not to be.

Really disappointing to blow this game after getting off to a fast start in it. I know Matz had a bad inning but I would have liked to have seen it NOT start with Loney's 2nd error of the game. Robles has been terrible and I just saw the stat on TV the mets have a 19 ERA in the last 19.2 innings pitched. We're gonna need a bat at the deadline, I'd hate to also be concerned with making a trade for the bullpen too, though that might have been inevitable.

    This Mets offense is offensive.

Marlon Byrd popped for PEDS again.

I almost threw up when I saw that guy come in for the White Sox. I threw up when I saw him hit a double and run around the bases. Unreal.

They walked 13 times yet scored once. How is that even possible?

Not saying they would be saviors but the fact that Herrera and TJ Rivera are still in the minors and Ty Kelly and up til recently Eric Campbell were receiving significant playing time , is a problem.

How come we never ever ever ever hit and run ? Cause something to happen. First to third on a single.

    We're 6 games over .500 ...
We have the 3rd lowest ERA in the sport ...
I suspect that our number 3&4 hitters won't bat .040 for the rest of the season ...
I suspect Matt Harvey won't pitch to a 6.00 ERA in his last 20 starts ...

I'm not even a little worried. This is what a 162 game season looks like.
As long as we have Syndergaard, Matz, Harvey, JDG, Colon ... And eventually Wheeler, we have the keys to the kingdom.
Pitching wins. It's been that way for 100 years. No reason to think that 2016 will be any different.
Even the worst offense in the league averages 3+ runs a game. We're at 3.75 right now. When Conforto and Ces break out of their slumps, our offense will be fine. I'd bet anyone that we'll be 12-14 games over .500 at the All Star Break.

Just need a to win a couple of series to get healthy....and keep those arms healthy....But things just haven't gone well. Couple of bad bullpen outings and some slumping combined hurt.

Looks like Wright might be out. So it's next man up.....Wilmer[cough, cough]. Lets' go!

Does that open the door for Eric Fucking Campbell yet again?
