Sandy picked up James Loney who is an excellent defensive, slick fielding 1st baseman. Terry said he'll be part of a platoon there....thankfully. Wilmer's back soon also. So two of those bottom roster guys are gone at some point out of Reynolds, Kelly, and Campbell you would think. I'm gonna guess Reynolds and Kelly.
Solid pickup with Loney. He's never been great but he should be a nice platoon option with Wilmer. At the very least its another quality bat and also upgrades the bench for when Duda gets back. No risk trade.

I don't think it was necessary to throw at Utley. That chapter should have been closed already. I think the hard on Mets fans have towards him is a tad over blown tbh, but to throw Noah out of the game was absurd.

Honestly the real way to retaliate would have been for someone just to take him out with a rolling block slide, that would have been an eye for an eye...but of course that would have led to a suspension that didn't get overturned. I'm glad I went to the game last night instead of tonight, my voice would already be hoarse booing that overofficious jerk.
Utley has seemed completely unfazed from the start of all this and is probably laughing at us behind closed doors.
