Marshall, Decker, and Mangold skipped OTAs. Despite Bowles saying otherwise, I wonder if they're making a Fitz-statement.
I know our schedule looks tough this year, but this team did go 8-8 with geno in his first year. The dude has two full seasons under his belt and another year where he got to sit back and just take in a competent offense. He has the best weapons he's ever had and and QB friendly OC. If fitz doesn't budge on the $$$ give Smith a try. Fuck it, right . . .
No. To me, OTAs are a time for player development in terms of young talent and roster fringe players. Marshall, Decker and Mangold don't need to be out there and risk injury. Let the young guys get the reps for now because they won't get them come training camp.
Yeah, it's a good thing. Those guys, especially Mangold, don't need it, and would benefit from not going through the wear and tear. Let Winters, Dozier, Harrison & Co. get the reps in the interior line
So it begins... Brian Costello @BrianCoz 3m3 minutes ago Eric Decker skipped OTAs this week because he is upset the organization has yet to sign Ryan Fitzpatrick, according to a source. #nyj Funny if you told me a WR would be skipping OTA's to protest Fitzpatrick I would have predicted Marshall ten times out of ten.
I'm thoroughly convinced that in his heart Costello is a true Jets hater. The worst. Can't stand that dumpy fat miserable fuck
I hate that if its even true, which I doubt....Decker should take a paycut to accommodate his buddy if he feels so strongly about it Decker said a few weeks ago that the team must move on either way and he likes Geno
Why does everyone on our team act like agents for each other? Sheldon trying to get Mo paid like Ndamukong Suh. Decker sitting out to get Fitz paid. I like the camaraderie but seriously mind your own business.
Alternatively, Decker is on vacation with his wife and kid. https://www.instagram.com/p/BF2rKUMFISC/ Fuck Costello
It's not true: If the Jets don't re-sign free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, might Geno Smith get another shot at starting in 2016? Wide receiver Eric Decker believes Smith is prepared for the opportunity. "To see him in game-type situations would be exciting, because I feel like his confidence is back," Decker said. "He has developed a skill set. I think [from] being with Ryan, he learned to study the game a lot better. So I've got confidence in him. I just hope that he keeps pushing himself to learn the game mentally."
That's what reports are saying,The top players on offense taking protest......if this isn't enough to get a deal done nothing will be.
