They said d'Arnaud has already started throwing with no setbacks. Could be a while till he's ready. _
Matz and Noah have been superb. DeGrom will fix it I think. Harvey...he does need to be sent down or just shut down for a bit. It's definitely the elbow. Let Verrett enter the rotation. I would be okay with that. I read that Conforto could be a possibly at 1B in Duda's absence. Is this realistic? If he can hold it down it would help by allowing Juan to play CF as he's been hitting well lately. I just don't know if he's capable of playing 1st
How impressive! @AdamRubinESPN And Steven Matz is done. He will improve to 7-0 with a 1.13 ERA in his last seven starts provided #Mets hold on.
Heard on the radio he took groundballs at first and third in highschool and at Oregon state just incase but that doesn't even compare to actual game play / speed Familia has to close this one out. Would be a nice solid win and great to take 2-3 out in Washington
Nice win! Matz lookin' so good. Fuck it. Look at it like Harvey's our 5th starter for now.....It could be worse. Gotta get Wilmer, d'Arnaud and Dudu healthy. I hope the Coupons understand that at some point they have to make their contribution to the cause. Kapiche you fucks?
Rivera is outstanding behind the plate. That was a nice pick up. He can't hit either but he's better than Plawecki as a defensive Catcher and takes command back there better . Plawecki is looking more and more like a number#2, which is okay in the long run
Matz quickly becoming elite. Imagine those numbers if he was only bad in that Marlins start instead of horrible. Either way its nice to see him healthy and rolling.
That back hand he made in the top of the 9th when the Nats had 1st and 2nd with no out to prevent the runners from moving up was a PHENOMENAL play.
How about that throw to 2nd too! But I meant the pick up by Sandy adding him. I was curious about it at first when he added him. But now I get it. I like him running our pitching staff much more than Plawecki. He takes charge and he's aggressive. Kind of a poor man's Yadier Molina. Hey Murph, our pitchers appreciate the gift insurance run. Thanks!
Thank God all that stuff with Ces and the cars, and the obvious out of control clubhouse during spring training, hasn't hurt him, and the team so far. Lol
