Resigning Fitz

Y is everyone scared of the big bad schedule? The steelers were 3-4 against playoff teams last year.

This is what I don't get. What makes us so much better with Fitz? He got a weak arm. He also turns the ball over a lot. He chokes in big games. He stairs his WR's down alot. He throws into double coverage alot. I'm sorry I just don't see it in Fitz.

 

Oh well.

Here's the good news if you're a Jets fan: Mike Maccaggnan, Todd Bowles, Chan Gailey, and the players on the team see it.

Heres my take on the Fitz /Jets staredown:

Fitz blinks first: With yesterdays comment that he s playing in 2016 he effectively takes retirement off the table (A win for Macagnan)

In his statement he mentions "going crazy" over these other QB contracts like Bradford and Brock O...so the angst is real there considering he put up better numbers last season. Of course , these guys are younger and teams are not convinced he can even repeat his performance from the Jets 2015 season

Conclusion: Fitz takes the cue from Mevi$ and fires JSexton

Mac realizes his worst move was a short deal with Fitz to begin with and offers 3 years with 2 years guaranteed money at 9 mil per year

Jets don't break the bank and have 2 young QBs in Hack and Petty in the pipeline to develop over time under old Chan G

Geno goes to the Arena League

Well, today is the first official "deadline" to get a deal done, as reported a week ago.

Who says Mac, TB, or CG know what they are doing?

 

I do. I've followed this team long enough to know that we've never had so much as brain trust, as three or four people who might share a single abnormal one! The reason these guys were qualified to do the job is because Woody didn't pick them. If he had, we'd still be up shit creek.

 

I love how players always take the highest guys numbers and assume that they have effectively "set the market" and that they deserved to be paid that salary and more. The Eagles are already regretting their deal with Bradford and he never mentions Hoyer who is nearly as good and less injury prone went for just $2million. This isn't even comparable to the Revis situation as Revis was the best corner in the league at the time and Fitz is a 3rd tier QB. Its getting pretty annoying that all of our free agents with the exception of Powell are making it so difficult to be resigned, no wonder teams are looking for rookies on cheap contracts these days.

 

Yeah I notice that by his playoffs record.

 

Mark Sanchez has a great playoff record.

 

At least he been to the playoffs. How can anybody say somebody keeps "winning"? Who never been in playoffs in his 11 year career?

 

Today is the day that Decker predicted Fitz would sign. I guess we'll see.

 

I thought he said a day or 2 before training camp?
