Has anyone here upgraded yet? Is it worth it? Are there advantages?

True, but I never had the chance to do so for free before.

I upgraded it immediately (from Windows 7 which I liked a lot). I love Windows 10. I feel like my laptop runs just a little bit faster. It's not complicated to use like Windows 8.

No concerns that this would be on a Desktop primarily used for gaming?

What else would you use a computer for? My laptop sucks at gaming these days but that's because it's 5 years old and has a shitty graphics card. I haven't noticed any new issues since I've upgraded.

10 is definitely an upgrade over 8. I recommend the free upgrade. It's a relatively painless process. I did my two laptops and they both took about 90 minutes - give or take.

The only annoying thing I noticed so far is they have a new default browser called Edge. If you want to use the old IE (which I need for work), then you have to search for it and pin it to your task bar.

Win 10 is in attack mode against my Win 7. It used to be that after starting my comp a Win 10 pop-up appears and asked if I want to upgrade. As of yesterday they've taken away the option of X-ing out of the pop-up and are now asking if I want to up grade now or in 15 minutes. I ignored it and 15 minutes later it restarted my computer and started d/ling.
I'm old. I hate change. Get off my ass Win 10.
And I want my '64 Checker back.

Yeah I am still on Win 7 and they are really pushing it on me...I dont know if I should make the jump. I really prefer to stick with Windows 7 and not have a really odd change to my desktop/start menu/system

    Are there any other options?
I've heard about other OSs, any one tried alternatives?

That's the thing: Windows 7 is the best Microsoft OS since XP. That's why I am afraid to upgrade.

I upgraded on all my desktops to win 10 and haven't had any issues. I use my main desktop for video conversions/rendering mostly which are pretty CPU intensive and not once has it BSOD even while multitasking. You'll love the driver compatibility as most win7 drivers will work in win10 and some may even work better in their win10 variants. I did a clean install on my main desktop but upgrades on all the others from win7 and win8.1pro. All my machines are 64bit OS'es. Win10 has come along ways since its initial rollout..

    Hope this helps!
