Reports are that Lawson will be out for nearly half the regular season

 

Not only is Lawson having surgery on his shoulder but he's also moving to Outside Linebacker from Defensive End, which is no easy task what-so-ever.

It's gonna be a tough road for him

 

Lawson and his agent lies to everyone saying his shoulder is fine and doesn't need surgery for months leading up to the draft. First practice he rips the shoulder out on a dummy bag..... hmmm... sounds a lot like Dee Milliner.

Football is a violent game. Its hypocritical to watch the game wishing your team would crush the other team but then trying to act all noble on the internet when someone mentions injuries. I dont see anything overly classless here anyway. If you are going to be judgmental towards others opinions on injuries and sensitive about injuries - football isn't the sport for you and the internet might not be the place for you.

 

He's already done that and will continue to do so.

 

I for one would never root for injuries to a competitor.

But I will NEVER look a gift horse in the mouth and say "damn, I wish Player X were there so we could beat them at their best".

Fuck that.

Nobody gives a shit about our injuries--it' just bad form and bad karma to root for them.

But once they happen--it's part of the game.

I'll actually take it one step further.

My first rooting interest is the Jets.

My next rooting interest is for the NFL-- for super entertaining football the rest of the schedule (other than the Pats).

When I hear a great player, someone I enjoy watching goes down--I'm very disappointed.

If Teddy or Carr or Mariota or any one of the WRs or RBs I enjoy watching got a season ending injury--I'd be pretty bummed.

I just LOVE watching football.

I'm not sensitive about injuries. I'm sensitive about cheering when an opponent gets injured. People in football are usually high character enough to appreciate the difference. But you're probably right that I'm not so suited for the Internet.
