No kidding about who we play( just posted) the schedule but we're talking about teams that will be competing with the Jets for a playoff spot. Those teams have much more favorable schedule this year than the Jets do. Unless you see the Jets winning the Afc East with their current Qb and offensive line question. Than the Jets are competing with all the Afc teams even not on their schedule- Capiche. Listen you aren't ready to have big boy discussion yet. Continue dreaming this is the Jets year, until we get into the season and reality sets in. Look beyond 2016, and try to put a serious team out there in 2017.
I don't think you understand how football playoffs work. You say that we can't stop the front 7 of afc west teams. We're not playing the afc west in the regular season. You say that we won't come close to making the playoffs so in what scenario are we playing the afc west teams that aren't on our schedule? Btw even if we do win the afc east we would still have to potentially play teams that aren't on our schedule. You really really sound like someone that doesn't know what they're talking about.
I'm not betting someone whose going to disappear or change his handle when he looses. Let make a bet where you change your handle to Kingofthefools you lose. will change mine to any name you want. The Jets aren't making the playoffs in 2016- no one wants to admit that March 9 but eventually that reality will set in.(than and only than will you appreciate my viewpoint of looking past this season- for better seasons down the road.
Like I would trust someone with the football understanding of a 11 girl from the Ecuador. There's an app for that dummy.
Are you kidding me, tell me you aren't serious. No kidding the Jets aren't playing the Afc West teams( just was using those teams the Jets will be competing for a playoff spot- you brought up those teams that you think the Jets will have a better record. ( you will admit they are in the Afc right) Those three teams you mention are going to win a lot of there games because they all can rush the Qb , and play very good defense. ( look at their schedule in comparison to the Jets). There could be three playoff teams coming out of that division Afc West ( at worst two teams) . Look at the other divisions in the Afc . There are a couple of teams way better than the Jets. Steelers offense is only going to be so much better this year. ( Going to be tough for any defense to slow that offense down. The Ravens had a lot of injuries that decimated that team last year- will be back stronger this year. The bengals might choke when playoffs get here, but they are definitely a playoff team. Anyone can look at the Jets schedule now and try and make a case they could be a playoff team. When the season gets here reality will soon set in that this team isn't ready to compete for a playoff spot, and that they have to start putting the pieces in place to become that team. ( Keeping a one year rental - Muhammad Wilkerson, and a Jag Qb( Fitzpatrick who isn't taken this team to where it wants to go) isn't the way to go. Later today will post the Afc playoff teams for you. Will keep it simple for you.
Say what you want , but will examine this thread after the season. Let's see who the dummy really is. Than you can come up with all the excuses why you were wrong. should be pretty funny.
No results do matter more than words in football, and in life. Again we'll examine those results once the season over with. Start working on those excuses now. ( come up with some nice words that won't erase your shame.
Just to remind you of your post that prompted me calling you out for talking out of your ass You weren't using a blanket statement about the quality of those teams. You were bringing up a perceived weakness of the Jets and stating how we don't match up against specific teams. If you want to try again feel free to rattle off the pass rushing beasts from the AFC North. Out of curiosity, how are the Steelers going to be "much better"? Their #2 receiver is gone for the year. Maybe you're assuming that no one will be injured for them this year but I am curios how you get to that conclusion.
I'm not discounting Mo's play. I just don't see that there's that big a difference between Williams or Mo. Even more importantly, more than likely, the schedule is a lot tougher this season, so I don't think that making the playoffs is realistic even with an improved team overall, and with the CS having had a year to work out the kinks. I only see Fitz as critical so that Petty or Hack don't have to play this year if they aren't ready. I could be wrong of course, but I think the team would win 6-7 games with Geno starting, and with Fitz, they may win 8, or at most 9 games. Again, I'm not saying that I agree with the poster's position, I just think it has some real validity, and could possibly be the best thing for the team in the long run, although it would be tremendously unpopular with the fanbase.
Punctuation matters as well. This statement reads that there aren't any results that matter as much as words which I assume is the opposite effect that you were going for. So you have both the football acumen of an 11 yo girl frow Ecuador and the understanding of the English language as an 11 yo girl from Ecuador.
The Steelers can find Wr's as well as they used to find lb's. ( want to argue against that statement). No team has as much speed at the Wr as Pittsburgh. Not to mention get their stud Rb back from injury. First do you admit all those teams have some big time pass rushers. As we seen in the Super Bowl a lot of teams offense lines are going to have trouble blocking those big time pass rushers. ( when have those game changers on defense you're going to win a lot of games. The Chiefs do play the Jets. Again check out those teams schedule and the Jets schedule and see why I say the Jets aren't making the playoffs.
I totally understand that, and would expect that response from upwards of 95% of the fanbase. We think like fans. It's the GM's job to think like a professional however, and weigh what's best for the team in the long term vs the short term. Even though I can see where such a move could be better for the team in the long run, it would come at a very high cost of support from the fanbase, because most fans would be up in arms with pitchforks, torches and billboards. The latter can't be discounted, especially with an owner like Woody. Whatever the case, I would be shocked if it actually happened, nor am I saying that I think it should. I can just see the merits in making such a move.
I wouldn't say the Jets are favorites to make the playoffs but to completely write it off is a joke Vegas has our team total wins at 8, so a few breaks here and there and we could easily get to 10 wins Also if the Pats struggle without Brady the first 4 games the division could easily be up for grabs as we enter December Our schedule looks tough but our defense is tougher
LOve you guys who don't understand football, and want to concern yourself with proper English . ( you know you lost the debate right there ) I'm long done with school , and here to educate you on football. ( send 20.00 and will send my book football 101 for dummies. So my words might not be proper English, but if really want to learn about the game of football keep reading my post.( you can learn a lot).
You did such a good job listing the players that the Jets OL should be afraid of in the wrong division. I'm giving you a chance to not sound like an ass. Name the players in the AFC North that the Jets OL should be afraid of. I'm sure you can find some. It'll add some validity to your points. I said the Chiefs play the Jets. I also mentioned Houston will probably not be on the field yet. So other teams can win with their D but we can't win with ours? Again. Besides "there won't be any injuries" how are the Steelers "much better"?
You have the worst understanding of the English language I have ever seen. Your book is called football 101 by dummies.
So to sum up. You: A. Didn't know what division the Jets play this year. B. Think teams that aren't the Jets can win with D but the Jets can't C. Have issues with both reading comprehension and writing D. You..... wait a second are you a Dolphins fan?
How does our offensive line match up against the likes of Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Warren Sapp & Bruce Smith though? Will revisit an see.
