8 in a row! No way that double play gets turned last season. Thats the difference that Walker and Asdrubal bring.
I thought the same exact thing when they turned it. I got a little nervous towards the end up it all worked out. HOpefully tomorrow's game with Thor and Bumgarner is played.
After the first Nats series, we'll have 40 games in the books. I'd love to see us sitting in first place with a 26-14 record. Need to go 10-6 to get there. Very doable with 6 coming up vs Braves and Padres.
Would've been nice to see Colon finish off the shutout tonight. I loathe when managers put closers in , in non save situations. Unless they havent pitched in like 3 days.
Another garbage outing for Harvey. The only reason is ERA isnt 10 right now is because of the competition he's throwing against. Better teams would be rocking him. Granted the offense never scores runs for him , but come on.
Matt Harvey performances has been worrisome. I mean he was pitching against the Braves today. How soon before his agent starts blaming the Mets for last years pitch count?
He stopped short of that yesterday but did refer to it in detail... http://nypost.com/2016/05/04/matt-harveys-biggest-backer-admits-theres-an-unknown/
Degrom getting tagged. I have to believe Matt and Degrom will get into the groove of things. So far our starter hasn'tt been as epic as I thought they were going to be. Mets down 3 in a lineup that has been living off the homerun. They are playing in a really big park. Let's see how this plays out.
Someone needs to tell Ryan Fitzpatrick to stop playing catcher for San Diego and sign with the Jets already
Somebody get Tim Teufel some new glasses. He has been dreadful. We should have two men in scoring position with only one out.
What is the point of replay when the umpires refuse to ever overturn a call on the field? That clearly should have been a run. Edit: except Cabrera never touched the plate. Pretty bad.
