Looks like it'll be good. But gotta be honest, starting to get MCU fatigue. Their movies are starting to feel the same, Hell even look the same IMO
Well, nothing wrong with that. -Iron Man -The Incredible Hulk -Iron Man 2 -Thor -Captain America: The First Avenger -The Avengers -Iron Man 3 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier -Thor: The Dark World -Guardians of the Galaxy -Avengers: Age of Ultron -Ant Man So now with Captain America: Civil War coming out, I think some fatigue makes sense.
Yeah... and that's why the overexposure. They beat every single thing to death when it makes a buck. That was my point. RDJ is perfect for that role, and they'll probably totally ruin his newfound career success because of it. He'll make a shitload of money, but there is no way in hell he doesn't get typecast, even with his diverse acting past. Watching a successful string of movies is like watch the hot popular cheerleader become a meth head. First she's hot and virtuous, then she gets hot and sexy and without boundaries, and before you know it, she's taking a shit in an alley behind her dealer's favorite bar.
I gotta admit that I think Johnny Depp's Tonto is the best superhero portrayal ever but that's only because he's Johnny Depp and The Onion had a lot of fun at his expense after the first screening. http://www.theonion.com/article/terrified-johnny-depp-unable-to-remove-tonto-makeu-33090
The thing is, some of those movies I really like; Iron Man, Thor, The Avengers, Winter Soldier..I even think Antman is underrated. I believe the problem is that Disney/MARVEL keeps their directors they hire on a short leash and only allow them to be so experimental with the material, which is a good and bad thing at the same time. They're so keen on reminding us that this is all happening in the same cinematic-Universe that I think some of the creativity may be suffering. ...I'm just ready for a different spin on the whole shared comicbook movie-verse, and hope maybe WB/DC can give some of us that are starting to get stale on the MCU an alternative.
Saw it. For all of you who don't like BvS....this tries to desperately be that and fail. Its not bad, but its not great either. Very mediocre story, only thing that saves it is the action scenes in the middle. Not gonna spoil it but its very loosely based on the comic arc its named after. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
DC is going to be in trouble if Suicide Squad isn't a hit. The reason they keep the directors on such a tight leash is because Marvel tries to emulate the comic books as closely as possible while DC has seemed to give their directors leeway to branch off (based on what I've been told by big comic readers and fans). I personally just watch the movies so I can't comment on the truth behind that. Civil War looks sweet though. I'm glad I'm not a huge fan because the lack of similarity to the comics doesn't ruin the movies for me.
Its not the lack of similarly, when you see it, youll see what i mean. Its just kinda a mess of a movie. Not a bad one tho, just kinda meh. This movie e took on more than they could handle in a 2 hour slot. I dont understand why movies like these just dont go the full 3 and be done. Look at LOTR, being long didnt hurt it. Yeah dude but Age of Ultron looked sweet too...I hope Civil War is good but I am going to skip reading alot of stuff on this before I watch it this weekend
True and theyre taking the wii approach to making money. Tryband grab as many casual fans as possible. I mean theres nothing wrong with that, but they should make sure editing lends itself to the length. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Saw it online but decided not to touch it. Don't need the MPAA hunting me down so I'll pass.... For now....
I normally would wait for the theater, but knowing what i knew, i decided to check ot out. That being said black panther and Spider-Man are definitely the highlights of the movie. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
