Okay, cool. When I saw your opinion over the winter and after the pick I was worried a little then, but glad to see you on board with the pick now. Yeah, there's plenty of room for improvement with him also.
I say you do not care for Hackenberg? Didn't we pick up 2 in FAs that can fill in as WR slash returner? I am not saying not to a WR in the 4th (I will be fine) but I don't think we need a returner type WR.
I once posted something he wrote that was critical about a player we drafted, a player who is now accepted as a bust, and he got hate-mail from jets fans for weeks
Damn.... I thought you were talking about Jenkins... I wouldn't have asked for a source about you predicting Lee. Half the board picked Lee... He was on my big board. I would have been super impressed if you had predicted Jenkins hence my request for a source. Reading is FUNdamental!
dude youre back-tracking. Your original outburst against Lee was way off base..Im a huge Buckeye fan as well and had no idea what you were so pissed about. Hes the exact type of guy we needed, has PERFECT size for today's NFL LB and should be perfectly used in Bowles' system. As far as disappointing because he wont make an immediate impact this year----well ya, that same statement goes for like 80% of all players drafted....even in the first round....
This guy is going to allow Sheldon to do what he does best. Will be good help alongside Maudlin. No more Calvin Pace. Big fan of Jordan Jenkins in the 3rd, was raving about this guy prior to the draft. Glad to see we finally addressed the linebacker positions.
It was not way off base. Coming out he has a lot he has to improve on at the position. So when you look at it from a immediate perspective, the pick is lack luster and mediocre. He is a poor tackler, takes poor angles, has average instincts due to the inexperience of the position and he IS undersized for the standard LB mold, especially as a 3-4 ILB. However, Bowles is very creative and he did amazing things with Buchanan in Arizona, Lee has a much higher ceiling than Buchanan which is very promising for the long term view. Lee is extremely raw with a very high ceiling and endless potential, so I have changed my views because I can see the long term plan in place now. When you look at it from the immediate view, it was a bad pick. IMO I'm happy with the pick now though.
well, if you're happy with the pick not ( 24 hours later) then all your arguments are moot. Hes got PERFECT size by the way......stop with the 3-4 as if that's all we play....soooooo overblown on this board
Mean, I give you credit, your man enough to adjust your opinion and put on the board. Too many guys worry about saving face on a forum and would rather die with a stupid opinion, instead of admitting their wrong. I don't mind the jets selecting Hack, I just did not want them to do it with the 51st pick, so far I do like the draft.
Really can't complain about this pick, replacement for pace and now we have the youthfulness and speed we've been asking for for years if you combine him with lee and mauldin.
