Which one of these two WR's do you have at the top of your boards.

On one hand, Treadwell does not have the burner speed, but runs crisp routes, has great hands and seems to enjoy muscling out his opponents for the ball. After watching tape on him he reminds me of Brandon Marshall in the way he can just dominate db's and there is nothing they can do to stop him.

With Doctson you have a guy that also runs crisp routes, accelerates at a fast level, high points the ball for every catch and reminds me a little bit of A.J Green. Out of the two who would you rather have?

Love both prospects but i give treadwell a very slight edge. Very good chance either of these guys is BPA at 20

Don't think the Jets will target either frankly, unless one of them has an epic slide.

I posted this also in the WR-thread:
Doctson is my WR1 in this draft by a pretty far margin and in the Top18 of my bigboard; therefore alone I would love it, if he was the pick at #20 overall. He has good hands and amazing leaping ability. Other than Treadwell he has also shown the speed to separate from defensive backs.

I don't care about our current WRs when it comes to drafting players; we are finally a BPA team and I supect, Doctson will be at or near the top of our bigboard when we are drafting.

Those "down" on this years WR class are just spoiled with what has happened with the ridiculous amount of talent that has came out within the past 2 years. The years is very good theres just no sure fire elite ones. But in the bottom of round 1 through round 3 it might be the deepest position cause of all those those DTs are going in the top 45.

I too think Doctson is the better talent but I like Treadwell better for this team. Treadwell physicality and blocking fits well for what we do.

I dont need burning speed with a WR. I need sure hands and smart routes and that is Treadwell all the way.

The fact that the Jets are even being talked about as a potential landing spot for him ,mainly because of his 40 time , should tell everyone how big of a joke the combine is.

Didnt Vernon Gholston kill the combine with like 35 reps on the bench? How'd that work out for him?

Treadwell will be the best WR in this draft and teams that could use him will regret passing him up.

Doctson and it is not even close. I don't think, however, that we'll have a chance. Treadwell looks good on film, but I am really concerned that he doesn't have NFL speed. Coleman is okay, but his numbers are way inflated because of that Baylor system and would have to learn how to run NFL routes.

Fair enough, but Treadwell would have to become an elite route runner in order to make up for that speed. Unfortunately, no one in college teaches their receivers how to become great route runners. Luckily, if we were to go Treadwell, we have two of the best route runners in the NFL who can teach a rookie.

If we decided to go there it would be a huge luxury pick for next season. But depending on if Marshall stays healthy or if next year is his last year , it could turn out to be a very smart looking ahead move by Mac. It really just depends on who else is available. If most of the top olinemen and pass rushers are gone by 20 I would jump at the chance to pick this kid.

And him not having to do that much in his first year would be an advantage and disquise some of those expected bumps that most rookies have. Like you said he would have two great players to learn from.

Some players land in perfect spots for them to succeed and IMO Treadwell to us would be just that.

Coleman is legit and has played with Petty. That said we need an OT & OLB really bad. Wouldn't even consider drafting a WR until round 3 or 4 and I am a huge fan of both Coleman & T.Boyd

Its all about BPA especially in the first round. If Doctson or Treadwell is sitting there at 20 it means there has been a run on Tackles and Lb's. Would you rather have the 4th rated OT, 3rd rated OLB or the number 1 overall WR which is a need for this team regardless of what many people think.

If we lose Decker or Marshall for any period of time they are being replaced with Enunwa or Thompkins.
