Tell me how have the Ravens been since they gave Flacco 120M? Brees has held the Saints captive for years with his contract and they haven't won ANYTHING after giving him that contract. Look at how many restructures have been done with the Saints.

How many SBs have 100M dollar QBs won? Eli Manning I think is the only one?

Cam and Rodgers haven't won a SB since they signed those contracts so your argument holds 0 value. Peyton had to take a pay-cut to win one last season. Brady's contract is the most cap friendly contract for ANY elite QB in the league.

When Andrew Luck gets a 200M dollar contract, his team will never sniff a SB. Look at how Russel Wilson holds back any major transactions because of his new contract.

so basically if you dont win a superbowl you are the same as any other team?

panthers went 15-1 and then went to the superbowl.
packers are perenially a top team.

how many teams with high paid 3-4 defensive ends are winning superbowls?

Did they win a SB? Yes or no? That is all that matters. Cam and Eli, the only 2 QBs to get to the SB with 1 winning it. A player with a 100M contract.

I wholeheartedly agree. We were 4-12 in 14 and we were 4-12 in 15; the purest definition of staying in place. What? I'm being told that we weren't 4-12 last year. I'm being told now that we were 10-6 and that 10-6 is better than 4-12.

I think we should get together and re examine out version of reality.

Good to see there are a couple others here who have figured out our GM is just another first timer with no clue.

What you say makes sense. The Jets could, I suppose, franchise him next year too. They will new er pay him what he wants.

But it is the guy who drops the QB who gets paid.

Going from 4-12 to 10-6 and not trading Mo for scraps or giving Fitz a huge deal constitute having no clue?

all that matters is winning a superbowl? so you see no difference between going say 6-10 vs going 15-1 and losing in the superbowl?

you think cam's contract made it impossible for the panthers to contend? id say thats pretty silly

Don't you think it's a little early to judge one way or another?

    +1
That has been my point for those that feel getting a #3 is all fine and dandy. A very integral piece to the DL is an understatement.
