I'm just guessing like everyone else but Petty has been in my top 5-6 college QBs the last 3 years.

I truly believe he has the goods.

Marino was coming off a 36 hour binge drinking affair and was coked out of his skull when he took it. When you choose D for every answer because your name is Dan and finish in 4 minutes your score will reflect that. :D

Like i said i hope so man.

I think Mac set the price high for Mo and maybe he might of had some interest but no takers. I believe Mac wanted more picks, felt we have good depth at DT and wanted that cash to re sign Fitz.

Plan B is to keep Mo and rally around Petty.

I have no problem with going with Fitz one more year, although I'd love to see Petty.

I think there are handshake deals all around.

We can't afford Fitz without trading Mo though... So unless a blockbuster for Mo happens within the next 20 hours i think we stick with Mo and either rally around Petty or a kid we draft.

Last time i checked we had roughly $3.9 mil in cap space. I don't even think thats enough for us to sign our picks TBH.

I'm not buying it. I think Mac already has it figured out. I think Fitz is the presumptive starter and he'll figure out a way to sign them both and our draft picks.

If thats the case there is only 2 ways to sign Fitz and sign Mo too.

The first way won't be popular in Jet land but thats to draft Ryan Kelly and cut Mangold.

The second way we cut Breno and Dee Millner to save $8 mil. In that scenario we probably draft Decker or Conklin for RT.

It depends on who's on the board still at #20.

    I do too, ftr

He'll be going against chess master DC's with players with break neck speed.

The speed of the game alone is damn near impossible to deal with

I want them to go after a QB badly. I just don't think Lynch is the guy. Try later on, on days 2-3

Someone tipped Cimini off last night. Whether they are blowing smoke up his ass who knows... but it would appear he talked with someone from the Jets and they told him they aren't in love with Lynch.

QB Paxton Lynch fading, others emerging on Jets' draft board
"Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch is the player most commonly linked to the Jets in mock drafts (including by me in the televised NFL Nation mock draft on Tuesday night), but I no longer believe that will happen. I received late information on Lynch, and the sense I get is the organization has concerns about his maturity and ability to adjust to a pro-style offense. There's a lot of smoke leading up to the draft, and sometimes it takes a while to see through it."

Whoever he is talking to told him they like Hackenberg. Also the LB Correa and the WRs.

Obviously it wont be possible to land all three. Maybe they will trade down. Or maybe Cimini's deep throat is full of shit

No way the Jets take Lynch. Book it, its a complete reach. The top 2 QB's are established the rest is a shoot. Lynch could fall to early 2nd easy. If him and Geno were in this class and they were both there with our pick I would take Geno over Lynch (That's if QB has to be it). Thats saying something. Geno was drafted in the 2nd and he has been dismal. Lynch in the 1st is a stretch if I've seen one.

As much as i would have been alright with Paxton Lynch at 20, it was only because i thought Mac was cool with it, i honestly would not draft a QB until next year. Lets build some depth and get some young players in here who can actually play.Sign Fitz let him flame out and prove that he isn't really worth the money. Btw I'm glad the schedules "hard" i don't want any false sense of what this team really is if were good were going to prove it this year. If Fitz sucks (he does) Maybe get Petty some reps by week 13 and then figure out what it is or draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd next year.

It is pretty crazy that the day of the draft all the analysts are now saying the Jets don't like Paxton Lynch. Cimini late last night.... Peter King said he heard it from sources today.... McShay was on Mike & Mike this morning and said he doesn't think the Jets like Lynch. Now this guy.

It makes you wonder big time why this would all come out now, from a FO that prides itself on not letting the cat out of the bag. Do they really plan on taking him? or Do they just want people to think they don't like him for whatever reason??? trade or something. Buffalo really likes him. Maybe the Jets do too but want Buffalo to think they don't so they won't pull the trigger at the 19, thinking they can get him later?

Idk- just spitballing. Maybe there is no gamesmanship and they just legitimately don't like Lynch and don't care if people know.. but it makes you wonder.

Especially since the same analyst contradicted himself in this tweet an hour later. I think everything you see regarding the Jets is complete guesswork, which should make tonight really fun.

Or maybe no one thinks he's worthy of a first round pick like I do. That said, I do think a team will grab him directly or trade back in to pick him at the tail end of the first solely to get him under that 5th year option. The 5th year option is more important for Lynch than most because you know he will need at the very least one redshirt season.
