    @IanRapaport
Sounds like the #Jets could be targeting a WR in the first round. Names to watch: #TCU's Josh Doctson & #ND's Will Fuller

    Thoughts?

No point in resigning fitz if we're looking at a wr that can outrun his throws.

Smoke screen? Same with the Mo won't be traded report. Never know til it happens/doesn't happen.

Apparently very little interest for him

Don't have to believe it. Just worth a discussion if true

like others have already mentioned, this could be a smoke screen.

That being said, if fuller is the pick I will lose my mind

Give me Treadwell/Doctson and I'm ecstatic. Leave Fuller alone.

Treadwell or Coleman is very intriguing. So is Fuller honestly. I wouldn't be mad at stocking up on WR for the future. Marshall and Decker won't be here forever.

Agreed, especially Marshall. I see him here for a few more years, max. He's 32 years old right now. He's already signaled at retirement after here

The one question I always ask myself when I hear these type of rumors is..."is this guy the BPA on the board?"

Not the Jets board, but the draft board.

Most of the times they are not, the guys that are the BPA on the NFL board at 20th and later are usually LB, DL, OL, S, then WR, TE...etc

So when I hear about who the jets are going to draft, I don't really pay too much attention.

Coleman to me is the kind of playmaking receiver you can build a WR corps around. Let him learn from Marshall and Decker while being explosive in the meantime. I wouldn't hate it if Conklin is gone.

Edit: I've left out Doctson twice. He could be Calvin Johnson honestly. He's got the hands and the height. He might be just as physically gifted too.

I'll add one thing: when was the last time one of these rumors ended up true? Most Jets picks have been huge surprises for me each year.

    This.

Last year's draft proved that you choose the best player on the board, regardless of need. Unless you're drafting a qb.

bruh... Doctson in this offense would be so BEAST! It's like pick your poison.. You won't be able to double anyone in our spread..Decker would REALLY be the "slot machine" too! Doctson can go up and snag the jump balls Devin Smith couldn't. He'd be our perfect #2, with Marshall there to mentor him until Doctson is ready to be our #1 after Marsh leaves.

Plus Forte's versatility... man we'd be a force on O.

Draft Doctson and sign fitz after the draft!

Pretty sure we're only allowed to draft defensive lineman in the first round.

We already have one, Devin Smith and he proved it every time he hit the field.

I do think Doctson, Treadwell, Fuller and Coleman are all nice prospects and deserving of being drafted around where we are. That said we're already set at the position and it would be drafting a luxury when we have plenty of needs..not to mention we spent a 2nd on the position last year.
