Anyone considering Hackenberg needs to watch the two Northwestern games and the Temple game and get back to me. If you watch closely you will notice how his eyes are looking at the pass rush rather than downfield. I actually thought the game his sophomore year vs Northwestern really exposed his weaknesses. His career went downhill fast after that game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Temple game is poor example, he ran for his life the whole game, he got hit so fast he couldn't even get off a screen pass
Looking at the rush is sometimes an inherent trait but it can also be cultured. Pretty much all QBs have a breaking point. You hit them enough and at some point their eyes start to lower even the great Brady has succumbed to this. The kid by his own fault, poor oline and offensive scheme has been getting creamed for the better part of 2 years. It's not surprising that he's developed these bad habits. The question a GM has ask himself is can he be fixed or is he irreparable?
Hackenberg will be visiting the Jets. If the Jets feel like they can fix him, then they have to take a shot at him for sure. 3rd round?
Just in case we draft him, I'm trying to gear myself up to liking Hack but it's really hard to when watching his game tapes. They don't get better the more you watch them either.
I think when they said he was coming in they said he would be in on the 14th or 15th, he hasn't been in yet
My opinion if Penn State had a real coach that could help him and he stayed for his senior season, he might have been the 1st QB picked next year
Over Clemson's Watson? I don't think so. Watson would have to really have a horrible season or be out injured for that to happen.
Yeah, I saw that. I guess anything is possible, I just don't think it very likely, but I may be biased because of how bad he has looked the last 2 years and all the negative comments on here.

Matt Lombardo | For NJ Advance Media on April 26, 2016 at 10:47 AM, updated April 26, 2016 at 11:04 AM CHICAGO -- When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell steps to the podium Thursday night at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago, California quarterback Jared Goff is widely expected to be the Los Angeles Rams' selection with the No. 1 overall choice. Beyond Goff, there has been plenty of speculation about where the other top quarterbacks will land. The Eagles seem to have sights set on North Dakota State's Carson Wentz, but theJets could find some competition for a signal caller to potentially serve as the franchise's quarterback of the future. NJ Advance Media Eagles reporter Mark Eckel projected the Jets will take Penn State junior Christian Hackenberg at No. 20 overall. However, as the rumor mill churns, Todd Bowles and company could have some competition when it comes to Hackenberg. Here's a rundown of the latest NFL Draft rumors, including those centered on the quarterbacks ahead of the first round getting underway Thursday: Peter King suggests in this week's MMQB piece, that the Buffalo Bills could select Hackenberg with the No. 19 pick, one spot ahead of the Jets. Phil Simms believes that Paxton Lynch is the top quarterback in this year's draft class. The NFL has requested that the Los Angeles Rams keep quiet about choosing Goff, to preserve the sanctity of the No. 1 pick and all of its drama. The Denver Broncos have made overtures to trade for Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, but also could be looking to move up from the No. 31 spot on Thursday. Could UCLA linebacker Myles Jack's knee injury be an elaborate smokescreen?
As long as it is not the Jets that's ok, it leaves one more good player available for jets to take if someone reaches for Hack.
My dream would be Spence/BPA at 20, hack in round 2 and jaylon smith in rd 3. I think hack could be one of the best QBs coming out. If you put joe montana on his penn state team with that couch he would look like garbage to... how many qbs in any league can have max protect, have the D rush ONLY TWO and get sacked in under 3 seconds. thats what he had to deal with.... not to mention he was playing in a terrible scheme with a clueless coach.
