Thanks poeman, it's been a longtime coming. I love JT and I hope we can sign him to a long term contract and then find some better offensive players to be his wingers. If he had 1 or 2 star offensive players to help him, their offense would be so much better. I don't expect them to beat TB,the lighting are so much better on both sides of the puck, but I still hope it's a long series.
I turned to my kid and said we have to enjoy this one because Although Florida is a very good team Tampa is better ,has been there before and its going to be a. Lot tougher to beat them . Tampa has many guys that can score sadly we have one stud !
Tampa is deeper than Florida, and they also have the size to overpower our smaller forwards and smaller defenseman. Like you said the experience factor is huge also.
Wow, I give you credit for believing the isles will beat Tampa, I hope they can find someone else to help JT because the top line for Tampa has more firepower than all three lines the islanders have.
Great night for long time Islanders fans but this team isn't built to make a deep playoff run. Shaky D, a back up goaltender, and one guy who can score. Hopefully Greiss will continue to stand on his head and JT will score two goals per game.
This Panther team is very deep and I am a firm believer in goaltending wins playoff games,,,Greiss pretty much is the reason we beat Florida . You cannot hope to win every game 1 -0 or 2-1 you have to score some goals to beat Tampa, I will root and cheer like nuts but reality is this Tampa them is soooooo much better and way deeper than us,,and BIGGER,,,,,we will need some type of repeat performance in goal to beat them or somehow ,someway, a few Islanders are going to have to help 91 put pucks in the net . We were fortunate to beat Florida,,,,,,,,but I will take it
Great series Islanders fans! Tampa without Stamkos is definitely beatable, but not easy. Should be another fun series.
I hope so, it's not going to be easy for the Caps, the Pens have some serious firepower. Ovie hurt a lot of philly players. I thought he was going to put McDonald through the glass in the second period. I'm still rooting for Ovie to win a cup, unless the islanders do beat the lightning and meet the Caps in the eastern conference finals.
I have a friend I used to play hockey with that's a big Lightning fan and he's as insecure about their ability to beat us, so there isn't any reason to believe we are outmatched, especially with their injuries. I'll consider it an upset if we don't win the series. I don't think the Penguins are any easier to beat than the Caps, so I'll be rooting for the Caps to win. I'd prefer getting revenge on the Caps rather than the Pens getting anywhere near the finals.
Did not see that coming!! It's still early though, Tampa has the ability to come back, I'm not getting my hopes up. Staying as calm as possible.
