offer/trade him to the Bronos for their 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th picks in 2016 draft. Sure, they'd do it--you don't believe Elway's claim that the Broncos are "comfortable" with Mark Sanchez, do you? The jets could use two of their first three picks then to upgrade their aging line, then cut Breno and get more cap relief. If the Broncos decline, you haven't lost anything.
He isn't better than what we have on the roster right now. We have other needs than to reach for a QB just because.
It's not a bad thread. Maccagnan just said he's been calling the teams below him who may be looking to trade up. The Broncos may very well be one of those teams looking to trade up 12 spots to get their QB of the future. Based on the Titans and Philly trades, a 1st, 2nd, and more seems about right, especially with the Broncs picking last in every round. It's basically like a 2nd and 3rd rounder to move up 12 spots for a QB. This could actually happen.
The Broncos aren't going to be interested in Lynch. They're a defending SB Champ. They want to try to win it again this year. No rookie gives them that possibility. That's why they want Kaepernick. They're more likely to take a shot on Brian Hoyer than they are to trade up for a rookie who doesn't seem likely to hit the field year 1 let alone win some games with them. If Lynch was a great prospect, then yeah maybe they'd take a shot on him. They're more likely to trade a bunch of picks for Teddy Bridgewater than one of the rookies this year. The Vikings would probably listen to that also because Teddy FG is wearing out his welcome there.
Its tough to make trades in the newer maddens but I get your point. It took me trading Revis,Wilkerson and a 1st to get Russel Wilson and that was just against the computer.I also traded Geno Smith for a backup Full Back(not a joke)
Have you considered the possibility Broncos may trade for Lynch (for 2017 and beyond) AND sign Hoyer (for 2016) as a free agent? Elway said just yesterday the Broncos offer for Kapernick is still on the table. It would not be if they were comfortable with ol' butt fumble.
Who gives a crap. Madden is not and never will be comparable to the NFL. What can and can't be done there is completely and totally irrelevant. Any discussion of Madden in anything but a Madden thread should be prohibited on this board.
And no to Lynch at 20. Too many holes and not enough picks and the Jets already have two QB projects on the roster.
The Broncos are a win now team. They would be very stupid to give up so much for a raw qb when they could draft a few more pieces that can contribute this year. I'd be all for that trade, but it's wishful thinking.
OMG I can't believe that someone actually compared trading in Madden to real life NFL trades! SMH Maybe we ought to require posters to take an IQ test before they can post.
Why waste time reading when direction is clear: fewer QBs on the roster, higher chances for Geno to start. Ergo, "we don't need more QBs,.."
