Shaw is such a punk. I'm happy for St Louis. I don't see them losing this series anymore. Chicago is missing Saad, Sharp, and Oduya and it's evident.
yep I was going to come here and say something to that effect he took an absolutely moronic penalty that sunk Chicago, too like 2:05 left and he shoves Bouwmeester down after the whistle for no reason so his penalty expires right before the game ends, he comes out of the box, and starts a fight refs trying to separate him from the Blues player and he was being a jackass
Bellemare suspended for only one game. Ron Hextall said he saw no problem with Bellemare trying to seriously injure Orlov. This backs up what I was saying about this kind of play being encouraged by management. Heck, Hextall was a dirty POS during his playing career. Why would anything change now? Regarding the fans throwing bracelets on the ice and at the players, Ryan White was asked and he said he didn't see it because he'd been kicked out, but he said he would've done the same thing. Flyers players and fans, all scum. As for Shaw: http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nhl...y-slur-in-loss/ar-BBs0yPf?ocid=ansmsnsports11
Former Capitals Goalie Michal Neuvirth gets the start tonight over Steve Mason. Worth a try, but the Caps do know him pretty well. Holtby left practice early yesterday, but appears fine today and will get the start. Can the Caps close the series out and become the first team to reach the 2nd Round? Find out tonight. As for the other series: -How about the Blues? Honestly they should have swept the World Champion Blackhawks. They have outplayed them in every game. No reason to think they won't end it at home in Game 5. Never count out Chicago but St. Louis is playing better. -The Sharks must win tonight at home to take the (3-1) series lead over the Kings. If not, then their 2 road wins meant nothing and the series would be back on track for a Kings win. -Isles got the Game 3 win despite it being heavily dictated by the refs. Florida needs to tie the series tonight if they want a chance. I think Isles prevail. -The Wild had a nice comeback win in Game 3. See how the Stars respond tonight. -I did not get to watch the Rangers last night, but Nash scores on a shorty to give them the lead and they don't get momentum from that? Surprising to me. -The Lightning took a 3-1 series lead over The Wings last night. Despite not having Stamkos, they have a realistic chance to make it to the ECF. -Preds-Ducks has turned into a better series than expected. Ducks with the 3-0 win last night. This could go 7.
Just purchased my Game 5 Flyers-Capitals tickets. A little pissed about it actually. Haha. Caps did not show up til the 3rd tonight and by then it was too late. Good effort by Neuvy gave the Flyers a 2-1 win. The Caps can live with that loss, but really disappointed they did not get the sweep. Especially when they turned it on in the 3rd and dominated. Do that for 60 and you win easily.
Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer 32m32 minutes ago Players told Laughton doing well at hospital. Bill Meltzer @billmeltzer 5m5 minutes ago Nice moment at end of the game. Schultz went to other end to retrieve final game puck. Clearly for Laughton.
My 2 Cup Favorites (besides Washington) have looked terrible this 1st Round. St. Louis has completely outplayed Chicago and San Jose has completely outplayed LA. I really am surprised. Both can make great comebacks, but I find it unlikely that either will now.
Martinez has been their biggest loss. He got injured in Game 1 and hasn't returned. Key penalty killer and third among LA's defensemen in minutes (behind Doughty and Muzzin). LA lacks defensive depth.
Kane and Toews together on the first line and together on the powerplay. First time all season they were on the same line entering the game, I believe (lines are from pregame warmups, but sometimes coaches juggle in game).
closing in on midnight local time in St. Louis to have a doubleheader, the NHL made STL/Chicago at 9:35 EDT, 8:35 CDT
Kane showed why he is the MVP last night. The Hawks showed why they won 3 cups in 6 years. The Blues are still the better team by far this series, but the heart of a champion is tough to eliminate. Game 6 headed back to Chicago. This could go 7 and either way now. Great series.
Agreed. I'm not even sure anymore if St Louis can close it out. I really see Chicago winning the next one at home and forcing game 7.
Surprised that the Caps couldn't close it out tonight. Great showing by Neuvirth. Here's to the Sharks sending home the Kings tonight.
