Well that's what science does. No respectable scientist today lives in a vacuum and reinvents the wheel. All scientists build on the work done before them. Organized Religion works the same way. And many of the top scientists today realize that according to science itself, in the natural world, nothing comes from nothing. The universe can't explain its own existence, that makes no sense. Before the big bang, there was no space, matter, energy, or even time, there was literally nothing before the Big Bang. The ultra dense singularity that led to the Big Bang had to come from something...apart from a supernatural creator outside of space and time, there is no scientific explanation possible to explain why there is something rather than nothing. This is science, and again, all but the most stubborn atheists understand this. The ludicrous attempts at explanations that atheist scientists make are just that, ludicrous, and I have studied it myself, with my extensive science background. I was a scientist first and believer second. The more you learn about science (and history for that matter), the harder it is to remain an atheist.
With any organized religion, it's submit, obey, do not question. Just put a huge sign on your head that says "this brain closed for business. no longer accepting any new ideas about the universe and our place in it" the more i learn about science and history, the easier it is to write off barbaric writings from desert and cave dwelling savages from thousands of years ago.
Hey, Truth4U2 and any other religious people ... Since God created everything in the universe, tell me about ET's. Do you believe intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe, or is the entire place an empty art gallery that was created just for our entertainment? If you think it's just us out here alone, does it not seem odd to you that the ONLY life in the universe would exist on a little spec in some insignificant, remote location among the billions of stars?? A place by the way, that we know for a fact will cease to exist eventually. Not strange to you? But if you agree that life must exist in other places, that opens up a whole line of questions ... Do they look just like us, or are we the only beings that were created in God's image? And by the way ... Since people all over this one little planet look very different, what exactly is "God's image"? What God do they believe in? Do they know about Jesus? Did he have to die for their sins too, or was it just us? Since the religions on this planet can't even agree on the same God, wouldn't it be strange to think that ALL beings, everywhere in the universe know about YOUR God? And If they do know about Jesus, are they going to heaven? Is it the same place as your heaven? If they don't look exactly like us, does that mean heaven is full of different life forms? (I'm picturing the bar scene in Star Wars). Why doesn't the bible mention any extraterrestrial beings in the creation story in Genesis? Why doesn't Jesus ever mention them? Was he keeping them a secret, or does it mean they just don't exist? But does that make any sense to you? Nobody exists anywhere else but here? Really?? And like I said ... We already know that our planet is going to cease to exist eventually, so what happens after that? Heaven closes its doors and everyone who's there lives happily ever after? You know what makes everything suddenly make sense? Accepting the fact that life probably exists all over the universe in different forms, it comes and goes at different times, and religion is a bunch of man made bullshit. Have you ever thought about this? Any feedback?
This is wrong. Scientists do not know exactly what was there prior to the big bang. They can't exactly measure or test it, so it remains a mystery of the universe. Nobody actually claims that there was literally nothing before the Big Bang. They theorize a dense singularity of energy, which is definitely NOT nothing. This claim of yours about something from nothing begs the question of where god came from. You are appealing that something cannot come from nothing, but can you explain any other way for god to exist? He just happened to always exist??? That makes just as little sense as the whole universe emerging from nothing. You are essentially saying that the universe cannot come from nothing but god can. Why? If god can be eternal than so could the singularity. Energy cannot be created or destroyed as per the laws of physics. God can only be created inside your mind. Nope, this is not science, it's god of the gaps. God always hides in the gaps in knowledge. Back in the old days, people attributed anything unknown to god. Thunder, lightning, rain, the moon, etc. Now we know better because all of that stuff has been proven to work fine without outside intervention. Basically god has been reduced all the way back to "the guy that might have started the big bang", when he used to control everything. Once we learn the cause of the big bang, where will you hide god after that? This is the exact opposite of reality. Extensive science background? Please. You get all your science from religious propaganda sites. There is no scientific evidence for god at the moment. The more we learn about science, the less necessary god is. God doesn't care about us. Get over it. The bible is wrong, besides polytheism is way more logical.
This one is my favorite part! A supernatural creator outside of space and time is a scientific explanation. I wish I had an extensive scientific background, too.
"Legendary Notre Dame Football coach Lou Holtz praised the Vitae Foundation audience at their Jefferson City Pro-Life Events on Monday and Tuesday, saying, “People went into burning buildings on 9/11 and saved a bunch of lives. They are considered heroes. What you’re doing is every bit as important as what they did because you’re trying to save lives as well.” Holtz, the only coach in the history of college football to take six different teams to a bowl game, said, “We’re the good guys in this fight for life. Do not be intimidated by politicians, the media, or Planned Parenthood, because this cause is too important.” http://www.lifenews.com/2016/04/20/...-lou-holtz-dont-apologize-for-being-pro-life/
It's not just religion anymore .... like most religious issues, eventually the secular media wises up to it as well. Here's a good website to begin with if you're struggling with this modern day evil in your life: http://theporneffect.com/ It's all about raising awareness.
