I thought the PA forced a rule that you can't be franchised two years in a row. Does that change if he's traded?
If Mac likes Goff as much as the reports say then i'm all for trading up! I'd wait to see if Cleveland decides to pass on Goff and trade up with SF for way cheaper. Esp. since they like Buckner... take Wilk a third and a future pick.. give us 7 and allow us to keep 20! Probably reaching with keeping the 20 but if the 20 is involved i want a first round swap including wilk.. straight up.
I may be wrong but i think it's just QB's that can't be franchised more than two years in a row. Thought i read that before but might be wrong..
Just a thought... If the Eagles trade up for Wentz at #2 (in fairly convinced Goff will go to the Rams), where does that leave Chase Daniel and most importantly Sam Bradford?
Wonder how significantly less it is -- maybe it'll get leaked soon. If the cost is reasonable (e.g., 1/20, a late pick, Mo, and some roleplayers), would Tunsil be worth trading up for?
I personally don't think so. I would like a difference maker that can change a game if I give up that much for a player. I see Myles Jack the linebacker as a do it all linebacker but he has injury concerns.
If we were one player away (the LT spot) or had a young stud franchise QB and there was no other possible LT option to protect him, then yes, it would be worth the trade up; otherwise, imo it would not be worth it.
If Tunsil is as special as advertised, I'd do it. LT is the 2nd most important position. Whoever the QB is, giving him extra 2 seconds would be huge, especially if it's a young kid like Petty. Imagine 10 years from now Tunsil has same or similar carrier to Brick. Will you care about added late pick in 2016 draft?
If you think Tunsil is a bust, of course you won't move get him. But if this FO believes he is a real deal, I'm in board
Because QBs never bust? It because you're willing to accept the risk with QB only? Like I said, LT is the 2nd most important position and I'd gladly move up for the next Brick. I guess my risk tolerance is higher than yours
