Those feels are coming through...Really like the new trailer. We finally hear the cast. The Bare Necessities version by The Hit House gives me Goosebumps. Childhood memories flashing by watching this one. Hope its a good one. Looks like a great movie to take kids to.
I may be the only one here who saw it, but man this was an amazing movie. I'd recommend people take their kids and adults will love it to. So much nostalgia. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_jungle_book_2016/ 95% fresh too applause at the end.
Not sure how old your kids are but there are a couple of startling or scare moments. Base it off the trailer if you think it's appropriate for them. If they can watch Lion King then this will be great. I want to see it again, bunch of kids were at the movies but great to see so many adults
Mine are 13 and 7. I have a not-so-secret weapon for movie evaluation: kids-in-mind.com Instead of giving overall rating, they evaluate each movie on 3 categories: sex/nudity, violence and language. And instead of just giving rating on 1-10 scale, they actually describe the scenes in question. Plus, separately they give info of substance use (cigarettes, alcohol and drugs). They are good, give you idea of the scene without revealing the plot. For example, Jungle Book scored 1 for nudity ("A boy wears only cloth briefs"), 4 for violence and 1 for language. My 13 yo will love it, and 7-yo is so hard-headed, she'll give her brother a run for his money. Thanks for warning though
Can't wait to check this out. Apparently they got the guy who wrote the bare necessities back for the soundtrack Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Gotta go with Baloo and King Louie.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=9JDzlhW3XTM
Saw it today. TBH, I expected more. It's a very good well made movie, I'd give it 7/10, expected >9. IMO they were trying too hard to stick to the original script. In some places it backfired, in some other, they should've stick more. Don't want to give details, don't want to spoil it for you guys.
The last time I saw the original Jungle Book, I think I was 5-6 years old. Don't even remember the original plot.
