cmon guys, its game 1, they sucked, its not time to throw the towel in just yet, even though ive got it in my hands and am ready haa haa! they just havent been very good this year, no expectations with this bunch. lets not forget they started out 15-1 or something ridiculous like that, if not for that start they might not even be in right now. theyre just not very good thats all, and theyre playing a hot as fuck team right now. lets see what they can put together for game 2. no use cryassing, they sucked regardless of refs injuries etc, pull it together or go play golf.
Terrible loss...How we couldnt score in the 1st period personifies how this team turtles up when it comes to goal scoring. It is understandable though if they were shaken after seeing Henrik hurt. Without him, this team is lifeless in the playoffs

Lundqvist’s availability was uncertain for Game 2 of his team’s first-round playoff series against the Penguins on Saturday afternoon as CONSOL Energy Center. He took an inadvertent stick to the eye late in the first period of Game 1, and didn’t return for the second period of what would be a 5-2 loss. Coach Alain Vigneault said Lundqvist was set to see an eye specialist in Pittsburgh on Thursday afternoon, and that meeting must have went well. He had swelling in and around the eye that subsided to the point where at least he could practice. Lundqvist looked like his normal self on the ice. Vigneault had made it clear Lundqvist needed to practice Friday in order to play Saturday. An even better sign was that goalie Magnus Hellberg, recently called up from AHL Hartford as a precaution, did not practice with the team. Antti Raanta was the other goalie on the ice. He came in for Lundqvist to start the second period in Game 1 after Marc Staal’s stick somehow got through Lundqvist’s mask and got him near the eye. Defenseman Dan Girardi did not practice. He had missed the final two games of the regular season with an upper-body injury, though he did play in Game 1. He was replaced in practice by rookie Dylan McIlrath, who paired with Keith Yandle. Marc Staal was with Kevin Klein and rookie Brady Skjei was with Dan Boyle. Vigneault also kept his lines from the third period of Game 1, moving Mats Zuccarello away from Derick Brassard. He had top-two units of Chris Kreider-Derek Stepan-Zuccarello and J.T. Miller-Brassard-Rick Nash, while the bottom two lines stayed the same. Recent call-up Marek Hrivik skated as an extra defenseman with presumed scratch Oscar Lindberg.
"The whole thing" was AV's response to what the problem is. Was he benched or injured? I think benched. AV also hinted at Diaz being called up, and playing instead of McIlrath.
Leave it to the Rangers to make Zatkoff look like an all star, just like they did with Holtby last year. The Rangers MADE Holtby's career and now they are about to do that to Zatkoff.
What about hitting I'm rooting for the Rangers, I hate the Pens, but to insinuate that Holtby was made to look like an all star by the Rangers is insulting. Holtby is top 3 goalie in the NHL.
@Wilkerson Central goes to one extreme, now @HackettStillSux goes to another. I don't even know why you would ask that. Did I say he had major playoff accomplishments? Hopefully they are coming in the future. Yeah, I am cheering for the Rangers too. I'd never cheer for the Pens. Hopefully Lundqvist can return today.
