Lmao.. Yeah like any company can find a way to increase revenue a quarter of a million dollars or more that fast in This economy. maybe you shouldn't swing by for an application.. You're not qualified.

So you're equating me wanting less government control over what people are allowed to do with you wanting more government control over my money?

    Yikes.

I worked my ass off for years living paycheck to paycheck for a long ass time to get to a point where I'm doing pretty well and able to consistently save, be prepared and plan for the future. Now this Bernie dude wants to knock me down and force me back into struggle mode.

You're barking up the wrong tree if you think I'm ever going to be OK with that. Fuck Bernie.

Haha. If you can't figure away to increase you're revenue by 250k running a company of 33 employees over the course of 3 years then I think you should start looking for a new job sooner rather than later. (One that doesn't require you to make any business decisions would be a better fit)

No. I was referencing your ability to see things from a bigger picture as opposed to someone just looking out for themselves.

I know you're not a supporter. You've done the math and any medical savings you'll find are less (possibly significantly) than the ?% increase in your taxes.

Would the younger you that worked his ass off for so many years also not save money on medical or would that version of you have made out with the new plan?

Lol. I can't wait until you can't collect all your free government handouts anymore and finally need to get off your ass and get a job. It'll be a real wakeupcall

Yup. Call me mister free money. My 2k month rent in the city and my ridiculous food expenses and my random trips (round 2 of the draft coming up) are totally covered by the $200/mo welfare currently offers.

Maybe if you took a job better suited for you (not in a management position) you'd live the stress free life I do.

lol dude no one looks out for anyone but themselves - as well they should. This is America. Why would not satoshi give a fuck about the younger version of himself making out on Bernie's shit (if that's even true)

You wanna sell something to people tell them how it's gonna help them. Not how it's going to help "the big picture" or a different version of how they are

You're clearly looking through a different prism than I am. I was merely looking at the drug issue from a perspective of why the fuck should the government control people lives when the alternative has done nothing more than cost billions in tax dollars every year and make us the most imprisoned nation in the world.

I generally believe that we should be looking for ways to minimize government rather than grow it. Government is expensive, inefficient and often causes more unintended harm than good. Obviously we need government and it does a lot of things we couldn't accomplish as individuals but the path of continuously and seemingly carelessly making bigger and more powerful is not the right one IMO.

First of all I don't believe the medical savings will ever be passed. Secondly, I pay nothing for health care. The tax increases would fuck me hard. I'm sure there are many in the same boat.

The younger me needed to work hard and struggle to learn about life and appreciate things.

As I mentioned in my post. I'm not selling anything to anyone. The first acoromym in sales of wiifm.

While I agree with the statement that there is no such thing as a truly altruistic action I disagree that people don't look at the bigger picture. If that was the case, no person making 7 figures would be a democrat.

While I absolutely agree that gvt should be minimized, to me the real question to be answered is "what role should government play".

The USA didn't always have that safety net for the less fortunate. Are we better off or worse off because of it?

I don't see that we'll agree with either answers to my questions but imo those are the types of questions that need to be asked first with suggestions of how to pay for them coming next. I'm all for a complete reboot from the top down.

Ps. If the tax hike is planned to be used to fund single sayer healthcare, I hope the two will be linked together so if one doesn't pass neither will the other.

So basically we've created a massive pyramid scheme? Sounds great.

A pyramid scheme is far better than the design you're criticising.

Bernie says wants to keep guns out of the hands of those who don't have them.

So that means no guns for you hand-less people out there

    That's a bit nuts lol.

On another note, found this piece interesting from a historical perspective. I never learnt US history in school, so there's a lot of historical context that interested me here, with regards to Teddy Roosevelt. I'm keen to see what holes there are in this from the perspective of someone currently supporting Hillary :). The title is a bit of a mislead as most are nowadays, but the content seemed well thought out.

Bernie just doesn't have the policy depth that Hillary has. He may have been in congress, but when it comes to dealing with things not named Goldman Sachs, he's pie in the sky. I don't particularly care for Hillary, but when it comes to getting into the details, her ideas actually flesh out while Bernie's sounds like a pipe dream.

I just did that comparing my P/L from 2015 to 2014 (just barely though)...But I like working so I started a second side business which was proven to be more profitable than my main business (CPA/taxes) which is slow growth and busy only a few months of the year...

Why are you bashing "this economy"? This country rewards those who work hard, it always has as evidenced by many folks moving up from low to middle and then middle to upper class.

"This economy" is kicking ass compared to the recession years of 2008-2010...It's night and day. Have you stepped outside and see all of the construction being done for commercial and residential?

Their brand is crisis.... They need to sell negativity or their message doesn't make any sense. To listen to some factions, our military is the worst in the world due to being underfunded and overstretched. Never mind that our military has fought over 5 major wars in the last 20 years and is battle tested. Nevermind the F-35/F-22/B2 aircraft that cost ridiculous amounts of cash per item. We won't go into our navy's newest ships costing almost a billion dollars each. There's no doubt that there are few if any militaries on earth that are eager to go head to head with the US. Nation states may talk the talk, but the reality is they know better than to do something stupid and risk an retaliatory strike from any number of different platforms. Just imagine the things our military have at their disposal that we don't know about....

The economy has been growing steadily since 2010. Do the math, its 6 years of growth. This isn't China where the Mandarins have to flex the currency value to keep growth happening. Our economy is fine for those that chose to work hard to attain the required skillsets to succeed. That's not a message that sells to folks that are desperate for someone or something else to blame.

You can't very well argue for change when things are going well. So, if there's no crisis, invent one..
