Unless we want someone in the 7th round that plays on the same roster as Rex's son, I don't think there's too much chance that Rex takes one of our targets.

Oh so its just me then? Go look at any mock draft. It's a team need. What is your argument that its not? You dont have one.

I am not arguing. I hope you guys take a DL. I also hope you draft the guy who let Rex's kid do his laundry and homework for him in the later rounds as well

So you're rooting for the bills to fill their needs in the draft? Are you a bills fan now or something?

The more DLs you take, the more Os Jets will have to choose from. So yeah, I'm "rooting for Bills to fill Rex's needs".
For all I care, you can draft players based on prettiness of their feet, or by how well their tattoos would look on Mrs. Ryan's ass. So long as you limit your pool to the defensive needs, I'm happy.

Exactly the way Rex thinks. Create the best run stopping defensive line ever, with a absolutely no pass rush w/o blitzing.

We need all of it. We need a big guy, we need a pass rusher, and we need an ILB. Doesn't really matter the order IMO. For me, I would go pass rusher, but the good ones (Lawson, Ogbah, Floyd) may be gone by then.

I was thinking of the Jets poor 1st round draft history + that of other teams. 1st round is less than 40% success rate.
However in looking at how the Bills have done over the last 10 years, they actually have hit on (pro-bowlers) more than most.
Still I stand by my comment though, bottom line is that you can’t worry about who the 1 team in front of you is selecting. Most teams are drafting for need (even if they say otherwise).

DL and CB are at the top of every teams draft chart, and for good reason.

Rex takes QB = hell freezer over = Jets win SB

    My logic is undeniable.

Saves us from drafting him and wastes their first round pick.. best case scenario imo. Tyrod Taylor is way better and we're already developing a raw QB from a spread offense in Bryce Petty.

Then I would ask why Pegula fired Doug Whaley and promoted Rex Ryan to GM/HC.

The Bills have so many positions of need they could take any number of them in the first round. On offense we could take a WR, OT or even QB. On defense we could take a big DL, DE/OLB, ILB, S, or even CB if they don't think they'll be able to sign Gilmore after the year. We really are just going to take the best player.

Rex has no say in personnel in Buffalo, were the only franchise dumb enough to let him pick players.

I dont know if you guys know this or not but Whaley is the guy that calls the shots in Buffalo not Rex.

you keep believing that. We did that here for awhile too. Rex is all buddy-buddy with starstruck Pegula. Rex answers to no one but him. Whaley was there before Pegula and in terms of player personnel, there has been a noticeable difference in team building philosophy since Rex was hired from Whaley. Not a coincidence. The fat man is calling the shots
