Thank you Joe. My daughter spent two weeks in Italy last summer (high school trip). She had a great time, visited Florence, Tuscany, Rome and a few other cities. We'll next see Stokes on Discoveries (Locked up abroad).
So you are another one of those rich elites who spends their summer vacation in Europe yet pose as a middle class on the Jets board. Okay, thanks for clarifying.
Speaking of vacations, anyone ever stay at a Sandals? My wife and I got an insane deal on one of the Palms in Jamaica. $3,700 for 7 days, all inclusive, includes flights from Philly. $200 spa credit. Travel to and from the airport covered. Every room is beachfront. We were going to take it out of the wedding fund, but her parents are fronting it now.
Joe- on our day trip to Lucca we stopped by Bagni di Lucca to see the Devil's Bridge- very cool. Stopped in Collodi on the way back to Firenze, what a great little town. Yea, no tickets for us. The garage we are keeping our car is right near the Arno, we have a sticker that allows us ingress and egress to the garage and we only take it out of town. Heading to Montepulciano and San Giamigmiano for the day, stopping in Monterrigioni for dinner at Piccolo Castello. I think he's in Rome today, not Florence. How dare you. _
Glad to hear it and good for you JS. The Devil's Bridge arch and its reflection in the water make for a cool-looking 'circle' and the pitch walking up it can be interesting if you've a little vertigo in you . Lemme guess: the weather's probably boring (70F and sunny). Today's itinerary sounds great - and it sounds like you're going to be tacking on some mileage today esp. stopping off in San Gimignano (cool little town with a skyline of medival 'skyscrapers') en route to Montepulciano (you going to try and squeeze in Siena?). As for the driving, don't you just love the Mario Andretti's litterally sitting on your rear bumper while you're trying to navigate a hair pin turn you've never encountered before? lol. Mangia amigo and easy on the chianti ....long drive in the dark ahead of you back to home base--have a safe trip. ; )
