The Bills and Rex are going to be a thorn in our side for as long as they're paired. This is because Rex's teams do better against teams he is motivated to beat than against other teams. Why he's not motivated in this way to beat all the teams is a question for the ages.
He cuts his carbs the week before he faces the jets and stops roller coasting. Just kidding. It has something to do with Rex's essentially childish view of life that he cannot motivate himself by his million dollars in salary. He has to have a personal angle to things.
Whoever they draft Rex will have a pic tatooed on his ass of him.I can see him getting a tramp stamp of the player he steals from us.
The more you look back at past history, the more you realize the draft is like throwing darts blindfolded. The Bills are more likely to select a bad player and force the Jets to take a good one they hadn't planned on each round vs stealing all the guys we want. I'm not worried.
We did exactly that way back when when we took KOB over Marino cause we thought the Raiders were going to draft KOB
No, that's not the same thing. Of course teams draft players that they are interested in if they think another team will take them and they won't be able to draft them later. That's not even remotely close to a team drafting a player solely to prevent another team from getting them.
Let's take things to the extreme. If Jets go 16-0 and the SB, and Bills go 0-16, Jets will pick 32nd while Bills pick 1st. Does that mean Bills will be the thorn of the Jets? The fact of the matter is, Bills will pick before Jets if they did worse during the season. I don't know why that has to become a focal point of complain all of a sudden. If Bills pick a player that they don't need [because Rex does not want a certain player to go to the Jets] then so be it. They are fucking themselves over a draft. No biggie.
You would applaud a pick of Rankin or Robinson with the near $100 million man in Dareus and former pro-bowler Kyle Williams next to him? Specifically with the hot garbage the Bills are throwing out there at both OLB spots, and strong side end? Not to mention I'd say a sure decline in Jerry Hughes play without Mario Williams on the other side. It's perfect. Picking at a spot that should have some talented rangy coverage linebackers available or edge rushers, Rex will take a defensive tackle. I guess it's a matter of preference though and I understand Williams is old. I also understand it could be considered a team need. But if I have the man child that Dareus is, I'm not wasting another pick on an interior lineman, especially when he's locked up on an enormous contract. At that price, you need him to be able to put him next to a later round pick or low wage free agent and still have dominance in the middle.
A d-lineman is either our first or second biggest need along with LB. We lost Mario, so we need a starter there, it will probably be Kyle Williams' last season, and we have zero depth as it is. We are moving to a more traditional 3-4 alignment, so we'll need 3 big guys. Right now we only have 2 (Dareus and Kyle), and Kyle is gone after the year.
