And what would you consider the right price? Cause it has to be more than a 1st rounder if your that uptight anytime someone brings up a Mo trade.

But thats cool if 95 percent of the fan base thinks that way. Its not surprising that other Jet fans are as ill-informed as you are.

Money doesnt matter when you go from a solid LT to a guy who hasnt proven health in a long time. Its a downgrade, a huge downgrade , for half the money.

And you guys are making it sound like I kill every move the Jets make. Thats hilarious. I usually like about 80-90 percent of the moves this team makes. But this one bothers me because we ended up not saving that much cap room and suffered an insane downgrade at the most important position on the offense outside of QB.

Guess Im a troll for that though.

People that think getting Clady precludes us from potentially getting a tackle on the draft clearly do not understand Mac's philosophy. He will go BPA first and foremost. If the BPA at 20 is a LT or a potential conversion to LT stud he will pounce on it, if it's an OLB or ILB or QB or TE or CB or Guard he will do the same. Hopefully there is no DE out there this time but you never know. He will draft for depth and youth and trade for immidiate need.
Clady is a calculated risk and insurance ticket for us. He had two separate and very different injuries, one in 2013 and one in 2015, so is far from a chronic situation. He can strenghten that side of the ball if healthy both against the run and pass.
I cant help but admire Mac this year even more than last, as he finds himself in a tough situation with Mo and Bric's contract carefully navigating through some rough financial waters while attempting to infuse a balance of youth and a few immediate contributors while freeing precious dollars for the future.
Expect the next shoe to drop when Mo is traded and we regain a higher pick, in the first or second round.

What the hell are you talking about? Seriously. What makes you even think this is halfway correct?

No one is acting like you hate every Jets move. People are acting like you're saying stupid shit... such as "huge downgrade" and just getting things factually incorrect.

    You're right, he does agree:

"When healthy, Clady is a better player than Ferguson. He's an ultra-athletic pass-protector on the blind side, a four-time Pro Bowl selection. His last Pro Bowl came in 2014, the year after he suffered a Lisfranc foot injury in a Week 3 game. He rebounded nicely from that injury, and now he'll try to do the same after knee surgery."

I see Im not the only one that you like to take one statement out and target that one.

Notice the 2014 in that statement though...this isnt the NBA bud , in football guys rarely ever miss 1 full season and then pick up right where he left off.

Im all for a debate on this topic but everything you are arguing is just backlash from yesterday's news. Like you have to love this move because we saved cap room.

We still barely have any cap room.

    Its a shit move.

Do you find it weird that you are the only person maybe on the entire internet calling this a shit move? Is it that you're just way smarter than everyone else?

Also I don't really care to actually debate with you on this topic. Your opinions are so absurd that you're incapable of having a logical discussion. It would be a waste of time.

I agree. Brick was a loyal, productive jet for many years but was past his shelf life. Brick looked pretty weak last year. About the only worse tackle in AFC last year was Breno on the jets right side. Clady if healthy is a huge upgrade. I still hope the jets use TWO of their first FOUR picks in 2016 on the OL because it still needs a lot of help and definitely some youth.

Dude I told ya , I dont take many Jet fans serious when it comes to the offseason.

Every year we win the offseason Superbowl and then the season comes and its doom and gloom from the 1st snap.

Every year its a A+ draft and high hopes going into the season.

Thats all good but Ive been around too long to love every move. 5 mil of cap space isnt worth a Brick to Clady downgrade.

    Sorry it just isnt.

I'll ask again... do you find it odd you're the only one saying this?

I agree. But that statement is a HUGEEEEEE question mark. Thats what a lot of you guys arent realizing. We could trade for Brady tomorrow. But if he comes in having missed a year and a risk to get injured again it isnt as good as it could be.

It looks great on paper. But the odds of him playing 16 games next season is so low.

And thats what makes this deal not so great. Its not awful cause we only gave up a 5th. But Mac needs to make sure we have insurance at LT.

Out of the 4 people that are posting right now?

    No.

Like everyone else is saying , if he's healthy , and thats a very big if , its not a downgrade. But Im not counting on him to play a season. You shouldn't either.

If he was a guaranteed to be healthy he wouldn't have just been traded for a 5th rounder.

Maybe Mac struck gold here like he did with Marshall , but Im not counting on it.

Is he really that injury prone tho? He missed 2013 for a lisfranc (probably spelt wrong) injury that I seen wasn't even from football and acl last season.......7 outa 9 seasons he played 16 games

Clearly he would have just kept brick as the absurd amount he was due

I've said numerous times that I would trade Mo for a mid-1st (if attainable) , select either Stanley or Conklin with that pick and use our original pick for a guy like Leonard Floyd.

Saves room , upgrades the oline and keep the defense in tact.

Thats been my plan all along , but I havent been telling anyone to "shut the fuck up" or to "get off this thread".
