Nice, nice, nice, now let's pull the plug on a real OLB in the draft and our LB corps will no longer be our Achilles heal....
I could be wrong but I think the guy has be quite injury prone and hasn't played a full season yet. Buddy of mine is a Dallas fan and says he's a very good player, though.
I find equidistant to be a massively underutilized word. But yes, irrespective is a great word and irregardless should only be used when you are intentionally trying to screw up regardless. _
C/OG Stefen Wisniewski has agreed to terms with the Eagles (no numbers/years reported yet). It's still baffling me that it took so long for him to find a new team. There are not many free agents left I would like to see on our team. Though Bruce Carter and Stefen Wisniewski were both in the Top5 of these remaining players. Another one would be CB Sterling Moore. He is relatively young (26) and can play both outside and inside. Last season he was with the Bucs (on a one year-deal) and probably was their best CB. Before that he also had a very solid 16 game season with the Cowboys. I think he is (like Wisniewski) one the more underrated players in the league. The last fitting free agent I can think of (beside Fitzpatrick, of course) is OG Jahri Evans, who would probably be a good stopgap at RG for a year or two despite his age (32). He used to be a perennial Pro Bowler and is is known for having an excellent locker room presence, so he could help to groom some young players. And after all the money he made with the Saints (2010 the Saints gave him a seven-year, $56.7 million contract that reportedly made him the highest paid OG in NFL history) there could be a chance, he signs for litte money to play a few more years.
if this is about bruce carter yeah... no major injuries but one of those hamstring/groin lingering injury type guys
Update: The Bills have signed CB Sterling Moore. Unfortunatley a very good signing for Buffalo; he seems like a perfect fit for Rex Ryan. Stephon Gilmore. Ronald Darby, Sterling Moore and Nickell Robey - not too shaby for a CB depth chart... Let's move on and hope for some other gems in second/third wave of free agency - some are still out there!
As of April 6th , with the free agents signed vs lost, the Jets project to get one compensation pick in the 2017 draft. A fourth rounder for Harrison. If that is the case, signing another free agent would also cost you that pick so with that in mind I don't think we sign anyone. Fitz is our own FA so wouldn't hurt us but would gain us a fifth if elsewhere.
Seriously, Harrison only projects to a 4th? If you go by position, salary and playing time and general impact I feel like he should have been worth 3rd. I guess not being out there on 3rd down pulled his ratings down or something, ah well.
each player signed offsets a player lost. Thats why we are only at getting one because we signed one less player than we have lost. They try to match them up by avg annual value and Harrison's is the outlier.
I like the Ross signing. Like Kerley, he's a league average punt returner, but unlike Kerley, he's also a league average kick returner. I'm glad we can go into the draft now without being forced to take a return specialist. I just hope Macc knows what he's doing with the money. These signings won't help us much if we go into the season with Geno starting at QB.
His $9.25M salary average should swing him into a 3rd round pick if he gets at least 50% of the defensive snaps this year. The cut off was right at $9M this year. Either way an extra pick next year to use or trade with.
