I guess I'll give it a shot... 1st Rd : Leonard Floyd - LB - Georgia 2nd Rd : Josh Doctson - WR - TCU 3rd Rd : Vadal Alexander - OT/G - LSU 4th Rd : Jaylon Smith - ILB/OLB - Notre Dame 5th Rd : Tyler Ervin - RB - San Jose State 7th Rd : Drew Kaser - P -Texas A & M
Some solid choices!! IMO, there is no way Doctson will be available to the Jets in Rd 2 , he's a late 1st rounder, at worst early 2nd rd. No really knows where Smith will be drafted, I think a team will take a chance in Rd 2. I doubt we will take a RB with only 6 picks, if we acquire more picks it will be a possibility.
I love your first four picks. That would be amazing, especially Smith falling to the 4th round. I don't see that happening, however, nor do I see Doctson falling to us in the 2nd round. I don't know Ervin or Kaser, but we definitely need a punter. Like WW85, I don't see us taking a RB unless he's a PR/KOR and will be used exclusively on STs.
Would love that draft but except for maybe the punter none of those players will be there at those spots.
Ervin is a good all around back who has good speed, catches the ball out of the backfield and returns kickoffs/punts.
Thanks. I love what I see in this one video. I wish they'd shown more returns. He looks like what we need. Good choice!
Thank you. In the NFL he would be primarily used on 3rd downs & kickoff/punts. I like him, he's instinctive with speed, something we are surely lacking. Just something I read about him... San Jose State junior Tyler Ervin was named to the College Football Performance Awards Kickoff Returner Trophy watch list, wisely giving a nod to a player who was a standout in that role in 2012. Ervin averaged 27.2 yards per return in 2012 (599 yards on 22 returns) and had two touchdowns despite missing four games with an injury. He averaged 24.0 yards per return during his freshman year in 2011 and also had one return score that season. His three kick return touchdowns for his career are a school record, as are the two in one season. Of course, Ervin’s 2013 season was cut down early in the season opener against Sacramento State when he suffered a high ankle sprain that lingered longer than anyone hoped and cost him the rest of the season. After receiving a medical redshirt, Ervin is back for another crack at his junior season this year and will switch roles from running back to slot receiver. He expected to handle the kickoff and punt return duties and his presence will be welcome after struggles in that area last year.
