It would take a Julio Jones type package, but if I am McCagnan I would make this deal. The Jets right now are in a really bad spot. It's a win now team without a proven QB...recipe for 8-8. Due to some horrible draft classes all of our good players our either on the wrong side of 30 or due for a big payday. Next year the Jets are going to have multiple compensatory picks which will increase in value because they can be traded. It's a perfect time to offer next years 1 and a 2nd or 3rd this year to move up and finally get the QB who can take the franchise to the super bowl. Goff is going to be a super star. I've been on his jock since his freshman year at Cal and if he played ball in Palo Alto instead of Berkley he would be a sure fire first pick in the draft. In five years you will all see that Goff is destined for the hall of fame.
Have you seen the Falcons lately? They're 18-30 the last 3 years and they already had their QB before they made the Jones trade and the QB hasn't missed a game out of those 48. Nobody is worth trading that kind of package for.
Goff's worth a first round draft pick. He's not worth trading the farm for. We have Petty and there's some mid round QBs I like. We really need an offensive lineman and linebacker from our high picks.

To put it in Big Bonerese: "puff....puff.....like I have said earlier......puff...puff...." if Goff 's somehow still there at 20 (no way), pull the trigger for him in a heartbeat - but no Tannenbaum-type trades.
Brissett sucks if you are thinking about him as a Day 1 or 2 but for a Day 3 pick he'd be tremendous get. Also, there are a lot of very knowledgeable football people outside of "here" that like Brissett too.
I wouldn't draft him at all. He can't complete passes past the line of scrimmage. That's going to be a problem in the NFL.
