Yes, a FA with no suitors trying to hold up his home team is a head scratcher. At least he would not have to move. Maybe he does hang them up. A lot of guys who can still play retire from football. The physical grind is pretty bad. I was not for the Revis deal last year, myself. Not that I did not enjoy watching him he first 15 games this past year.

That hit Fitz took when he scored the TD in the Houston game could have been an eye opener. He got lit up. Wouldn't be surprised if they hid a concussion. At this point it has to be worth it financially for him to return to playing football. Just like any of us...we have a figure in mind for a job and if someone offers you less money than you want and you have to work more hours in his opinion it may not be worth it.

If he truly thinks he's worth $16 million per season, then he's delusional. $7-$9 million is great money and a fair price for his talent. If he doesn't want that money, fine. Eff him. He can retire. He's the one who puts himself at physical risk with his running style and not sliding. It could just as easily have been him getting helicoptered last season as McCown. The more I see and learn of Fitz, the harder I find it to believe that he was smart enough to go to Harvard.

I didn't know those two clowns went to Harvard too. Then again Dubya went to Harvard or Yale or somewhere, so you're right. The Ivy League is overrated.

Not quite Harvard as undergrads - Cruz went to Princeton first, then went to Harvard Law school as a grad student. As for Trump, he went to Fordham as an undergrad - then went on to the Wharton school of business at Penn. [Which is why I went after the Ivy league tag, not Harvard.]

And yeah. Dubya is from Yale. And yes. Ivy league is overrated.

I can't wait for the draft, so this nauseating thread can get a break.

    Quite the opposite.
A huge value in the Ivy league lies in the incredible network of connections you can get from attending such institution.
The status of those mentioned only reinforces this not diminishes it.

I want Fitz back for 8-10M per year, 12M tops, not 18M.

He is zero threat to hit the deep ball and just forces the ball too much....It also hurts that he can never lead a comeback

He has some nice traits but he's an ideal backup,

Please no.....just a garbage QB. Would rather go with a Geno/Petty/Rookie battle than proven trash

I was a Pro-Hoyer guy going into last year. I thought he played well in Cleveland and wasn't given a fair shake with Manziel breathing down his neck. I was wrong though. He completely melted down in Houston last year and his playoffs start was embarrassing. The Texans are done with him (rightfully so) and so should any other team as their starting QB. As a back-up QB: he would be worth picking up. Hoyer>Geno.

I don't support trump but using this argument to try and say he isn't a good businessman is silly. he started a lot of businesses.

you know how many google businesses failed? does that make google a failure?

Its hardly silly, and he isnt a good businessman no matter how you slice it. Do the research and get back to me. I dont think you have any clue how much hes bombed in the past and hes not worth nearly as much as he claims. He found one thing that stuck and it really isn't because of him its because of the market at the time. Hence he got a tv show because he needed somethibg to market himself again.

Were not talking about any google businesses. Were talking about Ivy league doesnt equal smart.
