Dog shit. Worse than I expected, and I expected it to be terrible. All the blame goes to 1 man: ZACK SNYDER. He must be fired immediately. The DC franchise should be taken from his grasp at once. Warner Bros. has the pieces for a good franchise. Not with Snyder at the helm though. This page should be spoiler free until at least Monday. After that, we can discuss the film in full. It's bad though.
I honestly don't know how you can say that. Disagreed 100% with all of that. Hard to say which movie is better. Deadpool is more enjoyable, but BvS is more of a comic book movie. I am a huge comic book fan. This film was terrible. Any comic book fan should hate it more than a normal person because of how bad they fucked it up. The script was a mess. You guys are far too kind. I agree the movie is not for fans of film or fans of good writing, or fans of good directing. The acting was fine. They all were betrayed though.
Deadpool was definitely not a better movie. It was very predictable. The movie wasnt a mess. I dont really get how you got that. Two characters livibg different lives and the movie explores both their lives on their collision course. Not that difficult to follow. Youre a comic fan then you should understand this movie ia what DC comics are. Theres a lot more exposition, a lot more verbose than marvel, and genuinely darker. Batman was never campy until that stupid show came out in the 60s. People forget just how volatile he always was. I liken people's problem with this movie to transformers 1984. Clearly from what you have stated here you have a desire to like this movie. It has a 30% reviewer rating on RT, which is abysmal, and only a 75% rating from viewers which is low for this type of movie. That's Iron Man 2 viewer approval which is generally considered the worst Marvel movie. Perhaps everybody else isn't wrong or doesn't understand it or have the wrong expectations, perhaps you are biased and your very desire for this movie to exist supersedes your ability to view it critically. Since you brought up the original Transformers movie, I'll compare your to reaction to another 80's property, G.I. Joe Retaliation. There are fans so desperate to have finally seen Joes in some semblance of realistic military uniforms and to see Cobra Commander as they always envisioned him with the face shield instead of a fish bowl like the first movie that they actually enjoyed that horrible movie. Their desire just to finally see those things exist in live action was greater than whether it was a well made movie and well told story. Those things made it a good movie for them. You seem to be doing that here. You liked it. Great. Enjoy. But to continuously question those who didn't and attempt to rationalize why they are wrong is a bit arrogant. The dislike is pretty widespread and is coming from both standard reviewers and fanboys and isn't because either one didn't understand it or had flawed expectations.

Yeah I have to agree, Rotten Tomatoes has about the least consistent and credible ratings you'll find anywhere. Metacritic is usually dependable.

And you shouldn't be questioning anyone's ability to understand the movie when my reference to Martha went right over your head.
