    2012-2014 played for Eastern Washington

2012 FCS Freshman of the Year

2013 and 2014 runner up Walter Payton Award (FCS)

2015 played for Oregon (turned down interest from UCLA and Texas, among others)

#2 in the NCAA in Passer Efficiency and Passing Yards per Attempt (2015)

Missed 4 games in 2014 with a broken bone in foot. Broken finger against Michigan State 2015, played with that issue much of season. Knocked out of bowl game 2015 w/ concussion

Eerie stat: in D1 thew a TD every 9.96 passes. In FCS threw a TD every 9.82 passes. (that's epically good btw)

A scout I follow called him the love-child between Brett Favre and Russell Wilson. Compared him as a less built R. Wilson (= more injury risk). Getting absolutely no media love right now because of the height (sound familiar?)

he dominated the shrine game. the play by play of his snaps:

I'd prob draft him in the 3rd or 4th round. He's not Russel Wilson, not even close but an average prospect with potential.

It's like Doug Flutie except without all the accolades.

height is not as important as a modern QB as previously thought. R. Wilson proved that.

Wilson was a better prospect but the comparison is hard to downplay. To say it's not even close is inaccurate imo. Wilson was drafted in the 3rd. I would aim for Adams in the 4th. That's just a result of stock value and where the market is, not indicative of their talent. Good qbs are being had in the mid rounds every year now. NFL valuation of qbs is very antiquated.

Ah yes, then you absolutely have a point here then. I was very impressed by his senior bowl, he was the best QB out there in my opinion. In college, there was something about Wilson that was very special. Can't say the same about Adams, but that isn't your argument here.

How not? If you knew enough about him to make a thread stating the desire to draft him you'd know he was hyped up to lead Oregon all the way by simply doing what all the other Oregon QB's have done in the system but all he did was stay hurt missing a 1/4 of the season. Debatable his stock actually dropped by transferring up to Oregon.

Broken index finger on throwing hand... missed a few games and then played the rest of the season out with that. shit happens it's a contact sport.. that's why we're discussing him as a mid-later round pick.

So for whatever reason you asked me how he was a major disappointment when you already had the answer yourself ^^^

I mentioned the injuries in the OP so I thought you might have been referring to something else. It's a bummer, it cost his stock some but I can't say he was a major disappointment because he played well when he was on the field. There was no dropoff going from FCS to D1 so in my view that's a success.

same exact 40 time as Brees. disappointing for sure but the agility scores are probably more important for qb's. 6.82 sec 3-cone. that's faster than Wilson and Mariota.

Rotoworld mocking him to the Jets:

Round 5 (157): QB Vernon Adams, Oregon - Surprise? When Evan outlined what Chan Gailey looks for at the quarterback position, my mind immediately diverted to Adams. He is consistently successful both inside and outside of structure.

If he lasts to the 5th that's an epic steal
