    @FieldYates
Appeal of new FA LB Karlos Dansby: has missed just 12 games in 12 seasons, averaged 100.7 tackles/year. 78 combined sacks/FF/INT in career.

we have enough old guys but Dansby might not be a bad pick up at all. He knows the defense well and has always been durable. Does he still have a year left in the tank though?

Ugh, Bennett traded to the Pats for a swap of mid round picks. Sucks not having cap room.

Spoke to two sources-- At this point in time, nothing has been done to the contracts of D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Breno Giacomini

Not sure why mac hasn't asked anyone to restructure or made any of the efforts we all thought they would make to clear up some more cap space. It's almost like he's content with what we have and his faith in his drafting.

I thought Beachum was a must have even if we had to up our offer a little im sure it's nothing compared to what Brick will make (and doesn't deserve at this point).

Beachum Qvale (or whoever else) > sounds better than Brick and Breno at this point...and cheaper.

Give him time ... pretty sure he's got a few moves up his sleeve to cut down salaries ... remember we're pretty much over the cap at this point ...

As mentioned by posters he seems to only do the money moves when its due sort of last minute I'm not worried as he gets it done

PS I wonder when he pays his bills lololol

I really don't get why Stefen Wisniewski is constantly overlooked in free agency. He is still a unrestricted FA, relatively young, healthy, can play three position on OL and certainly one of the best remaining players. And still there is not the least bit of talk about him (neither from us nore from other teams). Maybe teams know some bad news, which media outlets don't...

There must be something about him, either an injury, attitude problem, off-field issue, or locker room cancer that's hurting him.

The first known news tibit regarding Stefen Wisniewski from Ian Rapoport. Seems like he is going to the Steelers. Would've been the perfect solution for our problem at RG (and Backup C)...

Nice, i wanted Bruce Carter last year but the bucs snagged him... not sure if he was cut or if it was just a one and done deal. Either way he'd add some versatility and give us a little pass rush help. I haven't heard a peep from him last year though, hope he's still got it going for himself.. he was solid in Dallas but they were broke.

    B. Carter got a pretty raw deal by the Buccaneers. They clearly wanted/want to give their rookie K. Alexander (who graded as a bottom-three ILB at PFF) at as much playing time as possible, so Carter played just 314 snaps and was cut only one year after he signed a four-year deal (for 17 millions) there (Carter was paid $4.2 million for the single year).
I really think Carter would fit in rather nicely with in our LB corps, because of his above average abilities in coverage and his intriguing athleticism. D. Harris, E. Henderson and especially the young T. Jones are run stoppers - B. Carter could add a new dimension to that. And we should be able to sign him to a pretty cheap (1 year prove-it) contract after his struggles in Tampa. Another plus: He wouldn't affect any compensatory picks calculations (because the Bucs straight out cut him).

    Here's a pretty good highlight-video of him:

He looks awesome. Great instincts, speed, coverage ability. Even though he's 28, he's only been in the NFL for 5 seasons. Do you know why? I see he's from NC and went to Carolina. I think I've heard of him before, but don't know much about him obviously. I hope the Jets will sign him and not let him get away.

I truly hope Carter signs with us. He was pretty good with Dallas playing 3-4 ILB.

Mac is filling bottom of the roster with great role players instead of garbage we have seen with Tanny and Idzik.

If we stumble upon a good QB, I think opportunities are there with Mac-Bowles-Gailey combo.

Superbowl baby!!! Okay okay I got carried away :)
